Suddenly, quietly, you realize that - from this moment

forth - you will no longer walk through this life alone.

Like a new sun this awareness arises within you,

freeing you from fear, opening your life.

It is the beginning of love, and the end of all that came before.

Amrita just stood there... shaken to the core... after Ajay left so abruptly.

What was that hug? It was so brief, but it conveyed so much. There was incredible warmth in that hug as well as such desperation, as if he was impatient to convey his feelings for her.

And what are those feelings? Are they the same that she had towards him?

And his words...

They left a permanent imprint on her...

"You were looking beautiful in that!! When will you see yourself through my eyes?"

She slowly walked back to her room almost in a trance. Her body felt as if it was on fire.

She looked at her reflection. An ordinary girl who was glowing with blushed cheeks looked back at her. Was he telling the truth? Does she look beautiful? She so wanted to believe him though.

And she remembered his warm breath against her neck as he hugged her, and the touch of his hard body; she shivered again just by the memory of it

And she remembered his warm breath against her neck as he hugged her, and the touch of his hard body; she shivered again just by the memory of it. She collapsed on her bed and buried her head in her pillow again.

And a new smell hit her ... scent of him that was now mingled with her own, and she suddenly felt such strong heat at the pit of her stomach. She squirmed, tossed and turned, unable to understand the new sensations that were bombarding her and lay awake almost throughout the night.

Hugging her was a mistake, Ajay thought, as sleep evaded him that night. When she called him and looked at him with those dove eyes, he just lost his control. How soft was she?? And the shudder that went through her as he hugged her; and her smell... God...that will never get out of his system now...

He was so lost in his thoughts that he didn't even realise what time it was. When sleep finally came, in the early hours of the morning, he was woken up forcibly by Mrs Sharma, as he was getting late to catch the bus. He rushed off in a hurry, cursing himself and hoping he won't miss the bus.

Luckily, the bus was just about to go when he reached. Hurriedly he bought the ticket and found himself a window seat. There was a loud tap next to the window, and as he slid the glass door, Amrita was standing there, panting for breath. She had a heavy bag in one hand.
