Chapter 79 Limited Time

Namjoon froze and Jin stepped forward, holding the photo album in his hands. Impossible. This can't be. Why is Seung hyun in here? So the man was telling the truth after all? They're really cousins? "I was hoping to find her after she went missing for so long." Jiyong sigh and feigned sadness. But something didn't add up right in Jin's book. Tayeon is this man's daughter? That's impossible, he looks young to be having a daughter around Taeyeon's age! Plus, he claims to be Seung hyun's cousin, which I find it odd.

"S-she's your daughter? But you look so young!" Jin forced a laugh to which Jiyong laughs along. "Believe it or not, I had her when I was still in middle school. She was so stubborn. Once she got old enough, she left me and never bother calling her old man." Jiyong scoffs, crossing his arms. Namjoon looked like his eyes were about to pop out.

"Hold up. I remember now, I went to middle school with you! You're the former gang leader of Big Bang! Y'all were so popular in our school! How come the school never mentioned anything about you having a kid!?"

Namjoon is also analyzing the situation, wondering what connection does this man really have with Seung hyun and Taeyeon. A cousin and a daughter, it didn't add up right. Unless, this man is really older than he appears.

Jiyong arched an eyebrow and looks at Namjoon up and down. "I rather not have the school know about my secret child. Anyways, I'll go visit my cousin now. If you see my daughter, tell her to come visit me at TOP's place. Bye bye!" He smirks at their bewildered faces and left. After he left, Namjoon closes the door. "It's obvious Taeyeon isn't his daughter. Why would he lie about that?" Namjoon spoke up and went over to hug Jin, who looked a bit deep in thought. "Whatcha thinking about Jinnie?"

"About what you said. What if she's actually his daughter? I know it sounds crazy since the guy looks young but his aura was much older. Plus, that photo album! They were in it together!" Jin explains.

"Well, it takes an old person to know one, am I right?," Namjoon teased and guffawed when the elder threw a pillow at him. "Look Jin, that photo could've been fake. Anyways, how about we just focus on us, yeah? Let's go on a-"

"Oh shit, we shouldn't be joking right now. I gotta go call Seung hyun!" Jin ran upstair and paused when Taeyeon had his phone in her hands. "I-I already called him and he said not to worry. He expected Jiyong to come to his house eventually." She said quietly and hander Jin back his phone, her eyes red and exhausted.

Namjoon groan and followed the elder upstairs. Once he reaches at the top, he heard what Taeyeon said. "Not to worry? But this guy is obviously some psycho! You want to know what he told us? He told Jin that Seung hyung is his cousin and you're his daughter! Obviously, he's lying right?!," Namjoon directed the question to the exhausted woman. Jin notices her distraught actions and how her eyes kept fluttering open and closed, so he pats Namjoon's shoulder to get him to stop. "That's enough, Namjoon. If Seung hyun told us not to worry, then all we can do is trust him. We don't know what the hell is going on right now but we'll get answers soon. Meanwhile, I think it's best if Taeyeon gets some rest."

Although Namjoon wants to get to the bottom of this, he knows better than to get involved into dangerous business. He watches his boyfriend guide the woman back into the guest room, and decided to head downstairs. This was giving him a headache. All he wants is to take Jin out on endless dates and give him lots of cuddles and kisses. But no, life decided to throw in a couple of people he rather not associate himself with and Jin is now involved. Good fucking riddance. He sighs and leans back on the couch. That's it. If Seung hyun tells them to not worry about it, then he won't and he'll make sure Jin doesn't get hurt.
