Chapter 70 U-Turn

Namjoon didn't think it would hurt this much. All he did was asked for one more chance and he ends up getting stab with a memory he tried so hard to forget. Since the incident last night, things between them got even awkward but strangely weird as well. Awkward because they're classmates so avoiding each other entirely is out of the question, while the weird part consist of the two males giving each other glances when the latter isn't looking. Meanwhile, Jin could barely concentrate on the lecture since he couldn't sleep last night. Thoughts of Namjoon crying kept replaying in his mind like a endless loop and he ended up crying to sleep for being a straight up asshole. He could still hear Hoseok's word haunting him till now and it certainly wasn't pleasant.

"Do you have any idea what you just said?!"

"I-I'm sorry, I was mad and-"

"For Christ sake hyung, just because you're angry with him doesn't mean you should act like an asshole! Mentioning his mother was completely unnecessary and you went too far this time. This isn't like you and you better go apologize to him tomorrow!"

He heaves a sigh and spent the remaining of lecture planning out his apology, burying half of his face in his hands. The guilt is becoming unbearable. The lecture comes to an end and students started piling out of the door, eager to fill their stomach with some food before their next class. Namjoon calmly organized his books into his bag without sparing a glance at the elder next to him and heads for the door, trying to mask his sullen face. He couldn't sleep a wink last night because he kept blaming himself for Jin's behavior, so he's looking forward to snooze for a couple of minutes at the library but that meant walking up the long stairs. He wanted to cry.

Was it his fault that Jin got angry? A question he couldn't stop thinking about since he woke up this morning. Maybe if he hadn't pester Jin to answer the question regarding the kissing issue, he wouldn't have gotten angry at him. But Namjoon could only worry a bit more since he was the one who decided to come over to apologize but he ended up making things worse. But he didn't expect for the other to despise him to the point where the latter would want his existence gone. The thought felt like a blow to his heart and with a heavy heart, he strolls up the stairs and quietly went inside the resting room for a quick nap, hoping to sleep away the pain.

Meanwhile, Jin is looking for Namjoon for the past 20 minutes now on a empty stomach. He didn't head straight to the cafeteria after class because the moment he completed his apology speech inside his head, Namjoon had already left the classroom. His stomach growl again and he tries to ignore it as he continues to search for his ex lover. A call would've been so much faster but he completely forgot to charge it the night before and now he's starting to work up a sweat from all this speed walking. His stomach protested for the nth time and he caves, walking to the cafeteria in hopes of finding him there.

It's been an hour already and Jin still couldn't find the taller male, increasing his frustration. He spent the whole morning just thinking about Namjoon and it annoyed him because the latter is now occupying inside his mind. Seung-hyun texted him the other night as well but he didn't even notices until this morning so he has to go talk with him after school to clear up any doubts his boyfriend was having. He gently pat his swollen eyes and blinked profusely due to a lack sleep, chewing his lunch slowly while his eyes darts across the room for a particular male.

To his surprise, he spots a shorter male with black hair and chubby cheeks across the room and an idea appeared in his mind. Not thinking much of it, he quickly swallows the last bite of his Subway sandwich, and immediately scurried over to the shorter male. Once he got near, he sat in front of the short boy and observes those eyes growing comically wide. "S-Seokjin-hyung!" Aside from him, Yoongi also stared at him in shock, his noodles stopping midway in the air.
