Chapter 44 Wreck

"Hyung, what's going on between you and that girl?" Jimin asked sternly.

"We're just friends hanging out with one another..."

"From what we saw, it didn't look like y'all were just hanging out when she was snuggling up against you and you held her hand." Junghook huffed, his cheeks puffing out.

"I-I didn't hold her hand! Wait, were you guys spying on me??"

"Are you really in that position to lie to your friends?" Yoongi demanded, his arms crossing. He didn't tell them about Victoria's true intentions yet.

Namjoon sighs, squeezing his eyes shut. "Look, she's new around here and I'm her only friend. I was just being friendly."

"Too friendly," Yoongi points out, observing the way Namjoon flinches at that. Might as well get to the point, Min Yoongi. "Do you like her?"

At that, Namjoon stopped breathing and felt anxious, having mixed feelings. Jimin and Jungkook watch carefully, their eyes narrowing at the taller blonde. "N-no! She's just a friend, God. Look, I can expect this from Jungkook but from the Yoonmin couple too?"

Jimin blushed brightly. "Y-Yoonmin couple?!"

"Yah-!"

Attention all students, there's been an accident in one of the girl's restrooms which are currently being treated as we speak. The school is now closed for the remaining of the day and lecture will resume tomorrow. Teachers, make sure all students exit the building safely and stay clear of the smoke! 

Neither boys said nothing as they process the principal's words. Namjoon took this opportunity to leave before he could be asked more questions. "Well then, I'll see you guys tomorrow! Bye!" 

"Yah hyung!" Jungkook groaned. 

"Come on you two, let's exit the building. We'll deal with him later." Yoongi started for the door, followed by the double J's close behind.

Jungkook waved bye as he watches the yoonmin pair drives away after giving him a lift home. He quickly went inside and threw his bag on the ground before grabbing his phone in his pocket.

"Yoboseyo?~"

"Taehyung! Do you want to hang out today since school canceled early?"

"Oh Jungkook-ah? Taehyung isn't available right now. He's currently bedridden due to this cold he got last night. Do you want to come over and visit him?"

Jungkook's eyes widen. "Yes, please! Can you drive me over to your house? I don't have a ride-"

"Hyung, is that Kookie on the phone!?"

Jungkook grew worried. Taehyung didn't sound too good. A sore throat, maybe?

"I'll be there in 5 minutes, Jungkook! Meanwhile, talk to Taehyung, he's been asking repeatedly for you."

"Thank you very much, hyung!" Jungkook smile before going on his laptop to search how to cook chicken noodle soup for Taehyung.

"Kookie!! Hi!!"

Jungkook felt a smile growing upon hearing Taehyung's excitement. "Hi to you too, Tae Tae. You don't sound good."

"Yeah, *cough cough*, I um took a cold shower last night and forgot I left the window open. Hehe"

Jungkook laughs silently. "That's dangerous, Taehyung. What if the bugs come in?" He managed to find a recipe online and bookmark it, just in time to hear a car honking outside his house. He closes his laptop and exited the building, shooting Hobi a grateful smile before heading inside.
