Few weeks before the incident
"Did you really have a great relationship with your dad?" Cole asked.
"No not at all but we were close and if he wanted another chance to rekindle it then he would have called me or visit like any fathers might do." Julio said.
"Then why don't you just visit him?"
"Two options of that problem would end up in a wrong decision and two I don't give a shit about him and got no clue where he lives anyway."
Cole could sense that his uncle doesn't want to talk about it so he decided to change the subject.
"You know I really see you as a father figure I don't know why though but I feel like we relate to each other."
"That is really flattering." He spoke.
Julio hands Cole a glass that had soda in it and Cole raised his eyebrows at him with a confused look on his face.
"If you were expecting alcohol Cole, I was never going to give you that."
Cole rolled his eyes at his uncle and sighed. "I wasn't expecting that and the fact I never asked for a drink."
"Yeah I know but let me tell you something."
"Okay."
"I kind of noticed how attached you are to me since you were little."
"You just noticed that wow."
"No I didn't Cole it just felt like you trusted me more than your dad.
"I do trust my dad and maybe I trusted you more since you were more in my life than he was."

Flashback
Cole woke up in a hospital confused on how he got here and his head was hurting so much including the bones in his body.
"Hey stop moving before you make the pain go worse."
Cole turns to see his uncle sitting on one of the chair while holding an sport magazine.
"I have a lot of questions." Cole said.
"And I will gladly answer that for you but first what the hell were you thinking man!" Julio exclaimed.
"Uncle Julio my head hurts so much so I kindly please ask you to stop yelling in my ears and also what do you mean?" Cole states.
"Of course you don't remember." Julio sighed and got up from the chair and walked towards to his nephew.
"You got in a car crash and the doctor said you had a lot of drugs and alcohol in your system but you managed to survive the crash." Julio said.
After hearing what his uncle said, he just remembered that he went to a party last night and lied to his parents about where he was going.
The only way they would know that Cole was in the hospital by a phone call but he had uncle Julio and someone else as his emergency contact or the news since they were that much famous.
"Does my parents knows about this?" Cole asked.
"Nope not at all and if you wondering was the crash on the news no it wasn't because I managed to pull some strings." He said.
Cole knows that his uncle is a software engineer who makes like 500k a year so how the hell did he pull some strings unless he knows someone.
"Don't worry about that Cole but I am happy that you are still alive."
Cole sighed. "Yeah anyway are you still going to tell my parents about this?"
"I am still going have to and besides I had to lied to them that you were staying over at my place and they have the right to know since they are your parents."
"Yeah I know but I will tell them just hopefully I might."
"Yeah anyway let me get the doctor since you are awake now and let's just see when you can get home alright."
"Okay."

Another Flashback
"Were you just dreaming about killing yourself because you were mouthing some things?" Julio asked.
"No I wasn't." Cole said as he fixed his posture and looked outside of the car window to see that they were outside of the LAX airport.
"Then why are you sweating?"
"It is hot outside what do you think?"
Julio rolled his eyes at him and then sighed really heavily.
"You know what Cole you have been acting really strange so is there something wrong and don't lie to me."
"It is really hard to actually talk about it but when I do then I will let you know."
"Okay I am not forcing you but you are dealing a lot of things in your life and it is really serious so don't just pretend that everything is fine when you know it is not."
Cole knows that he doesn't want to talk about unless it was the right time so he was happy that his uncle didn't force him at all.
"Yeah I know uncle and anyway let's go pick abuela up since we are here now."

Flashbacks ended
"Hey have you ever actually told my parents what happened on that day?" Cole asked.
"I told your dad and I guess he didn't tell your mom since she was now angry that I knew about that and never told her." Julio said.
"Why did he never tell her?"
"Told him the week before he died and don't get mad at me because it took me a long time but I had to get it off my chest."
Cole was shocked and surprised but remembered the day that his dad was talking to him and he was mad even though Cole didn't know what his father was talking about until now he does.
"Okay."
"Okay really?"
"I don't know what to say uncle like I really miss my dad and it is just that I know everything I have done in the past he really have been disappointed at me."
"Cole look yeah he was going to be disappointed and mad as well but he still loved you."
"Yeah but I got a question should I give my grandmother from my dad's side another chance and I mean I never knew her that much and she doesn't seem that bad but I feel like....." Cole trailed off.
"Cole it is your choice anyway and besides if my dad wanted me to give him another chance I would have said no but still it is your choice anyway."
"Yeah you are not wrong."
