"Why can't you tell me?" Cole asked.
"Because it is none of my business and I don't know the whole story since I was like really young back then." Julio said while pouring himself a glass of water.
"Did she date someone before my dad?" Cole questioned.
"Yeah she did before." Julio said while drinking half of the water and then pouring himself another glass.
"So what happened?" Cole asked
"Let's just say that your dad treated her way better than that guy did and thank gosh she got out of it." Julio said.
"Also I know why you are afraid to tell your mom anything but everyone else you are not afraid to tell them." He also added
"Everyone else is different and to my mom it is just I feel like i don't know."
"So you don't know why okay let me tell you something Cole, you don't have to be afraid to tell her and you can tell her when you are ready to but I think you should tell her since she would understand and no one is perfect."
"Yeah maybe you are right."
"If you don't stop acting scared to do it, then how would you like if I-"
"No I would actually do it just please don't."
"Alright you better do it."
"Also one more thing Cole I need you to walk out of the back door."
"Why?"
"I have someone coming over in two minutes and let just say she is kinda-"
"Okay Uncle Julio I don't need hear all about that and keep your sex life to yourself."
Julio laughed and Cole rolled his eyes.

Flashback
Cole took a swig of his drink and sighed as he looked at the sky seeing the clear blue sky and the clouds.
Someone tapped him on his shoulder and he turned around.
"Cole I know you are not okay but-"
"Lianni I know you care about me a lot and you are great friend but I am fine." Cole said.
"Are you really?" Lianni asked.
"No but I wish was and right now I am worried about my mom." Cole said.
"Is she okay?"
"I know dad's death is taking a huge toll on her and I just hate seeing her like this sometimes I wish there was something I can do about it.

Present
Cole drove to his parents home and parked in the driveway thinking about what he was about to do.
He sees his mom coming out of her car and grabbing some bags before entering the house.
Cole took a deep breath and sighed but before he got out, his phone started to buzz.
He looked at the contact before picking it up.
"Hello?"
"Hey Cole I don't know if you have plans tomorrow but I was wondering if you want to have dinner at Mom's tomorrow?"Maddie asked
Cole chuckled nervously and thought about it for a minute.
"Yeah I don't have no plans tomorrow but yeah sure babe I will be there I promise and I loved your mom's cooking," Cole said while feeling something tight in his throat like a needle got stuck in there.
"Okay see you tomorrow babe." Maddie said.
Knowing that a 'I love you' might come, Cole hanged up and banged his head on the steering wheel before getting out of the car.

"Jefferson is my mom here?" Cole said acting like he didn't just see her entered the house.
"Yes she is in her room." Jefferson said.
"Okay thanks." Cole said.
"Oh and I have another question, what do you do if you feel out of love but you still love that person?" Cole asked.
"That make no sense at all Cole." Jefferson said.
Cole snickered. "Yeah I know."
