"We wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy new year!"

The Carolers were singing as Cole walked out of the store holding a bag of groceries and had a cigarette in his mouth.

He walked to his car and unlocked the door before getting inside.

Cole grabbed a beer that was in the bag and cracked it open so he can drink it.

See that bottle, use it to smash it on your head and-

Cole ignored the voice that was in his head and started leaving the store.

His phone was ringing so he answered it and put it on speaker.

"Hey who is this?" Cole asked.

"It is me Marcus." Marcus says.

"When did you get a phone?"

"Today, mom got it for me for Christmas."

Cole chuckled. "Really she trusted you?"

"Yeah she did but I had to follow a lot of rules and besides I don't give random strangers my address and personal information like I would do that."

"Well I am surprised she trust you with a phone anyway and what is the reason you called me for?"

"Oh yeah I was wondering if you are coming today and do you have my gift?"

"Yeah I have it and I will be there later in the night."

"You going to Maddie's place for Christmas dinner?"

"No I am not since I broke up with her."

"Wow did you actually break up with her or she did?"

Cole rolled his eyes and sighed. " I am the one that I broke up with her so I don't know why you are taking it as a surprise.

Cole heard a laughter through the phone which made Cole to roll his eyes again even his brother can't see him through the phone.

"I am just saying and besides don't worry the bet was already over since three months ago because we all thought you guys would still be together or Maddie break up with you. " Marcus said.

"I totally forgot about that bet." Cole said.

"Yeah me too until you said something you breaking up with Maddie." Marcus stated.

The thing is Cole haven't officially broke up with Maddie yet so it is gonna be every difficult for him to actually break up with her.

Unless he does it over the phone which it is a really messed up way to do.

Cole sighed deeply and took another sip of his beer.

"Yeah but anyway Marcus I am gonna talk to you so bye."

"Cole let's take a walk, we need to have a talk." Abuela said.

Cole turned around and see his grandmother standing front of him.

"Okay Grandma." Cole said.
