*at the hospital*
*Nat pulls up to the hospital. Steve rode in the ambulance with you. She runs in and finds Steve watching through the window as the doctors work to save your life.*
NR: How bad is it?
SR: Pretty close to her heart. Ir's touch and go.
*The longer the doctors work, the more worried he gets.*
SR: Come on baby girl. Don't leave me. I need you.
Dr: Are you here for Y/N Stark?
SR: We are. How is she?
Dr: Half inch to the left and she'd be gone. She got lucky.
NR: Can we see her?
Dr: I would prefer her not to have visitors tonight but I can see how persistent you are.
SR: What room is she in?
Dr: She's in recovery right now. As soon as she's put in a room I'll have a nurse show you.
SR: Thank you, doctor.
NR: I'm going to call Tony to let him know what happened.
*Steve sneaks back to find you connected to machines.*
SR: Oh, baby girl. Stay with me. I love you. I need you. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Start a family and find a house in the country. I don't want to do that with anyone but you.
*the next morning*
Y/N: Hey handsome.
SR: Hey, baby girl.

SR: Don't get up.
Y/N: What happened?
SR: There was a shooter on the roof across the street from the apartment. You took a bullet in the chest.
Y/N: Who is he?
SR: I don't know. He got away.
NR: Steve.
SR: I'm going to be right outside.
NR: Steve, that bullet came from a trained assassin.
SR: How do you know?
NR: Because he got me too.
*Nat lifts her shirt showing a scar.*
NR: Years ago.
SR: How do you know it's the same guy?
NR: I got the ballistics on the bullet. Same type.
SR: So a trained assassin was sent to kill someone and failed. Twice.
NR: I wasn't the target. I was just in the way.
SR: Who does he work for?
NR: Who do you think?
*fast forward one week*
NR: Now that you're out of the hospital, we need to find the guy that put you there.
Y/N: Do we know who he is?
NR: A professional.
SW: Look who's out of the hospital.
Y/N: Hey Sam.
SW: Hey Steve, I need your help with something.
*They step into the next room*
SW: This came for you with a note that says you are to open it in private.
*Sam leaves the room. Steve opens the envelope to find a note and a flash drive.*
'Captain, not too many I can trust with this. Tell only those you can depend on. Fury'
Y/N: Steve, is everything ok?
SR: Close the door.
