George POV.

A pain splitting headache woke me up, I looked around the room trying to remember last night. Not much of whatever happened at the party came to mind, only that I lost Clay, and I was going to play a game called 7 minutes in heaven before he dragged me away, I still need to ask him what that means. I'm also sure I remembered Clay next to me in the bed. But when I looked around he wasn't there, maybe it had just been my imagination then.

I was unsure of what to do, I knew enough about hangovers that sleeping and having a shower does help, and sleeping seemed the most preferable of the 2 options.
That's when I heard my door click open, and saw Clay walking in with a tray full of food. The blond smiled when he saw I was awake and his piercing green eyes (I at least assume they're green cause yellow isn't an eye colour apparently) seemed to light up slightly.

He came over to me and I sat up, seeing he brought up breakfast, "here George, there's some toast and water, I also know from experience that vitamins help so I brought those too."
I gave a small smile and balanced the tray on my lap.
The blond was about to leave the room but I spoke up, "please stay, it's nice to have some company."

Clay nodded, "sure I could stay."
He walked over to the mini fridge in the corner and grabbed an energy drink before returning to my side and sitting down.
I took a large bite of toast and examined his expression, I wanted to question him about last night, "what exactly happened at and after the party, I can't really remember."

"Well I got dragged off in the first 5 minutes, you got drunk before getting into a fight, and you tried to play 7 minutes in heaven with a bunch of horny 18 year olds." Clay explained in between sips of his drink.
"What about after that?"
"After that, I-uh took you home and you wanted me to sleep with you."
My face began burning a bright vivid red, "and did you?"
Clay was silent for a minute before answering with a small nod.

That made my face flush a brighter red, and I saw him chuckling nervously and trying to avoid eye contact.

I decided to change the subject, it was very awkward for both of us "You still haven't told me what that game is. I remember you telling me you'd explain it this morning."
"What game?"
"7 minutes in heaven, duh" I said, before eating the vitamins and taking a long sip of my water to wash them down.

"It's a game where..." He seemed unsure of whether to tell me or not.
"A game where what?"
He sighed, "a game where people get put in pairs and have to get locked in a cupboard or closet or something for 7 minutes."
I raised an eyebrow, what was such a big deal about being locked in a small space together? "That doesn't seem so bad."
"It will usually end up in people making out. I figured you wouldn't want to make out with someone you didn't know."

The blond looked to me, wanting some sort of response to his words, but I couldn't think of what to say. I almost agreed to make out with a stranger in a closet at a party. That would have ended up being my first kiss and probably the first and only time I would have anything remotely sexual with anyone.
But Clay stopped that from happening, he cared about me enough to stop me from making a bad decision.

I muttered a small thank you to the blond as I finished off my food, before sitting the tray on my bedside table and then I completely lost it. Without realising what I was doing I pulled the blond and cried against him, I kept repeating the words, 'thank you' and he seemed confused but slowly he hugged me back.
I've heard that mood swings happen during hangovers but I didn't expect it to happen to me.

When I finally but reluctantly pulled away from him I felt my headache grow worse and groaned in both pain and annoyance. The blond noticed and spoke up, "maybe you should have a shower or something, that always helped me when I had a hangover, it helped me focus."

I nodded in response, only taking in half of his words. Shakily, I stood up and made my way to my closet to grab some clothes before disappearing into the bathroom.
The shower immediately made me relax and I felt Clay was right, it did help me focus and seemed to calm my headache. I ended up spending 20 minutes under the warm water before climbing out of the shower, drying off and getting dressed.

My hair was still wet when I headed back into my bedroom and saw that Clay was still here, lying on my bed and scrolling through his phone with his headphones in. He looked up at me slightly when he heard me approach but didn't change position from where he was.

I was still overwhelmingly tired and so I just climbed into the bed next to him and looked curiously over his shoulder at what was doing on his phone.
The blond was scrolling through Twitter while listening to a playlist on Spotify, but he paused the song he was listening to when I was right beside him.

"I can leave if you want to sleep." He said, as he took his headphones out of his ears.
"No you can stay here, it's fine." I said as my eyes looked over the post he was reading. "What song are you listening to?" I asked curiously.
(Hmmmm I wonder what I am going to make the song.)

"It's called Heatwaves." Clay said as he opened Spotify and showed me, "do you want to listen?"
I gave a small nod as he passed me one of the (in-ear) headphones and I put it in and began listening.

The song was quite catchy, and I felt my tiredness start to wash through me as it played through. By the time the music finished I was resting my head against the blonds shoulder as he kept scrolling through Twitter.
He saw that I liked it and played the song again, and this time I couldn't stay awake through the entire thing and found myself asleep before the chorus even started.
