"But I go out
And I sit down
At a table set for two
And finally I'm forced to face the truth
No matter what I say
I'm, not over you"

Simeon and the reader had dated at one point, during their first year at RAD but soon split once the year was over, afraid they wouldn't see each other, a few years later Simeon still has feelings for them as he is not completely over them. (ew also sorry for the sad one-shots, a few fluff ones and a spicy one are coming up, I also apologize for not posting as much, finals for this semester are coming up and it's hard to keep up with writing every day, so I will try to post more :) )

(No ones pov)

Regret eats at him until he feels nothing, or so he thinks, in reality, he feels everything all the guilt, the pain, and most of the gnawing loneliness that is slowly picking him apart. He remembers everything even though he wished he didn't. Wanted to go back to the day it all happened, but he couldn't he remembers the words leaving his lips

"We shouldn't see each other. It's better this way, we won't have to fall apart later. Please try to understand"

He remembers how they didn't even try to stop him from leaving. Was it possibly because they didn't want him to feel bad, though he can still hear their soft cries as they had turned around with a nod, before walking out the door. Being the fool he was he left without another word or even a glance.  That had been the last time he saw them. He had tried his best to forget them or even tone down the times he had sat and thought about them. Everything he said and did would come back to him like waves crashing down on a rough surface which had also been water. A smile is pressed to his lips as he walks down the crowded halls with the small blonde angel and the tall white-haired human. Simeon had always been great at masking any emotion which had made it even harder to let things go after someone saw him showing an emotion other than happiness.

He remembers the night they left, Luke had found him sitting in his room with tears flowing from his eyes as he looked at a small photo of the both of them. He hadn't realized how much he really could love someone until he had let the only person who had truly loved him go. Maybe he had realized or felt he was a fool the moment he saw the hurt look flash in their eyes as they quickly rushed away without another word. He couldn't take back what he said though he wished he could, he wished he could take back the words and not act foolishly. Luke after that day had always asked if he was ok and to which he always responded

"Of course"

with his lips curling up to a large smile, he was growing tired of saying the same things, and he had grown tired of feeling like this. But feelings can't be helped he would soon realize the moment he saw them again.

Solomon had invited him down to the human realm to look for a magic book, one that was powerful so said the human. He didn't have the time to say no, afraid of what might happen if he was left alone again. They had been walking down the street until he saw a familiar figure with a smile on their lips only making his heart drop more as he saw their fingers intertwined with another. This had caused his chest to tighten as he watched the scene in front of him. He soon had felt a hand rest on his shoulder and was met with concerned eyes. Then a question that he had heard a thousand times and was growing tired of had slipped past the human's lips

"Are you ok?"

He could only respond by standing up straight looking back at them, a small smile on his lips as a single tear slips down his face. He was only then hit with the fact that even though it had been years since he had last heard from them or even seen their face, he was still stuck with the same mindset and thoughts had been running in his mind nonstop. He was not over them, and he still was hopelessly in love with them, though he would never say it out loud.

"I'm doing fine"
