Dear Sophia,

I love you.

I’ve not wanted to do anything today. I’ve just wanted the time to go by. I’ve just tried to sit patiently and wait until I’m with you again. I can’t wait for everything to come together.

The only things on T.V today have been countdowns of stuff that’s happened over the last year. It’s just people on T.V talking about other things they’ve done on T.V recently. None of them know the most important thing. None of them talk about us. They don’t say that we met this year. That’s the only thing that matters. They think it’s important that someone swore on some T.V show or something like that. They want everyone to know about all the stuff they’ve done. I don’t need to brag about us. Just having you is reward enough.

There was a show on about music that came out this year. It was all awful. I sat through quite a bit of it and didn’t recognise anything they played. It all sounded the same. While it was on I started making my own list. It’s my fifty favourite albums. It’s the sort of thing I can do really easily because there’s so many albums I like. This is the list.

That’s not in any order. It’s just the order they came to mind. They’re all albums that I can leave on a loop playing over and over. I thought you might like to know about them because they’re not just my albums anymore. They’re ours. They’re things for us to enjoy together. I don’t need them to keep me company when I’m alone anymore. I have you. You’re all I need.

I don’t have most of those on CD so if you ever didn’t know what to get me for Christmas it would be really special if I got one of those from you. It would really show how well you know me.
