In five days, I somehow managed to get eighteen out of my twenty designs ready for NYFW. It was a miracle I wasn't too stressed. Yes, there were a few sleepless nights of worry, and early five a.m. meetings with Julio to work on designs, but I did not breakdown once. I appointed Kelly as head of my all my wedding planning tasks for the remainder of the month. So far, it was flawless, and no hiccups occurred.

In just forty-eight hours, I would be on a private plane with my husband, Luis to New York Fashion Week. My hard work finally would be recognized. Luis was such a supportive husband as well. With any errand I needed from him, or just a shoulder to lean on, he was there for me.

10 p.m.

"Toothbrush?"

"Check."

"Extra fabric?"

"Check."

"Sexy lingerie?"

"Luis!" I yelled.

"I'm kidding. Well, it looks like you have everything packed." Luis said, as he crossed off those items off my check list.

"When are you gonna pack? Do not wait until the last minute like you always do." I warned.

"I'm not babe. Quit worrying about me, this is all going to be about you." He reassured.

"You're right." I said to him. I felt really guilty for lying to him about me going back on birth control. I never thought it would be this hard keeping this huge secret from him. But, this month has to be about me. The past six years have been about him. I need my come up. Besides, I was being cautious. Being pregnant during that stressful time in New York would be no good to me or my baby. Or my wedding dress line either.

"Did you happen to finish all your designs?" He asked me. Instantly, my demeanor changed. My fists clenched and for the first time I felt like crying. Everytime I thought of the fact that I was missing two dresses out of the twenty, I felt angry and stressed. Luis of course noticed. "Nevermind, nevermind!" He quickly said.

"No, it's okay. I'm a little stressed at the fact that there's only eighteen dresses finished, when there needs to be twenty, but there's always tomorrow." I said optimistically.

"That's good, babe. Don't worry, it'll be alright." He said, as he rubbed my back.

"Alright, let's get into bed, I'm exhausted. Our flight leaves tomorrow in the afternoon." I said.

"Babe, it's a private plane, it'll leave whenever we arrive." He said, laughing.

I looked at him. "Our flight leaves at 3:00 p.m." I repeated again, as I climbed into bed beside him. Luis snuggled beside me.

"You know, it's been a week since we...." He started.

"I'm tired, Luis." I said to him. "It's my big day tomorrow, I'm like a boxer, who needs to refrain from sex." I said, which made him laugh.

"Okay okay. Goodnight my little boxer." He said as he kissed me.

The next morning, I woke up to an empty bed. Checking my phone, I saw there was a text message from Luis.

Went to run some errands, ill be home before our plane leaves.

I grinned at the text before getting up and stretching. Today, we would be leaving to New York for fashion week. Excitement and anticipation filled me up as I hopped into the shower and got ready. After that, I put my long brown hair into a high bun, and walked out of the bathroom, looking for clothes to wear. I settled for a grey blouse with some blue jeans. After I got ready, I double checked that everything was packed, as well as called Gloria to make sure all the show's pieces were ready.
