You turned the corner of the Hydra base and held your breathe.
'Please don't be here-' You mumbled as you opened the office door.
Much to your dismay, there was an army of Hydra Agents waiting for you. You knocked most of them out but suddenly they released some sort of gas before running away. You held your hand of your mouth and did your best not the breathe it in but it was to late.
'(Y/N)?' Your mission partner, Clint, called as he walked into the room.
You were on the floor not moving and he instantly felt a pit form in his stomach, he'd had a crush on you for a while and seeing you like this made his insides turn.
'Please be okay.' He mumbled as he checked your pulse.
He saw that your heart was still beating and instantly relaxed but made sure to hastily ask for backup. He scooped you up and lead you to the helicarrier, never leaving your side.
'Agent Barton, she's stable now, you can leave.' The nurse said.
He shook his head but continued to read his book next to your bed. After a day you woke with a start.
'Where am I?' You breathed out.
Clint smiled at you slightly until you caught his eye.
'Did we complete the mission?' You asked.
Clint nodded his head and you leaned back relaxing.
'Doctor, is she still contagious?' Clint asked.
You perked up at this and furrowed your brows.
'Contagious?' You questioned.
'The gas they gave you was poisonous.' Clint explained.
'We got it all out of her system.' The doctor said before leaving.
Clint stood from his chair and sat next to you.
'Why'd you ask if I was still contagious?' You wondered.
'So I could do this-' He said kissing your lips softly.
'I couldn't imagine another partner better than you.' He mumbled.
You smiled at his sudden shyness and kissed him again.
'How about we become more than mission partners?' You asked causing him to break into a wide grin.
'Sounds like a bulls eye.' He finished.
