I jolt up in surprise all my clothes drenched in sweat. Fast pants escape my lips as I scan around my room. It's dark with slightest reflection of moonlight from out.

I was dreaming...

The ominous dream sends a ripple of alarm over my skin. I shiver running my hands over my arms trying to inject warmth into my body. I shudder trying to shake the horror image in my head.

I move to my drawer and I pull it out with my shaking hands. Immediately I find my phone, I fumble unlocking it with my sweaty fingers. The fingerprint reads not recognized because my fingers are all sweaty. I finally make it after drying them.

The screen reads 2:09 a.m in the morning. I want to check on Bally so badly but I know sending a text will not do. He might be in deep sleep. Not that he might, he is. I wish we do talk in calls, that has never happened before. We only text. At least a call may wake him up.

In a tensed state, I start running fingers on my keyboard. Maybe he's awake or he's not a deep sleeper. Just a message notification may wake him up. We had wished each other a good night rest by 10 p.m. I was so exhausted from exams, so I wanted an early rest.

Me: Hello over there... before tapping the sending button. A call flashes through my screen.

Bally.

God why is he calling me at this time of the night? Without hesitation I slide the green button sideways receiving it.

"Princess. " Oh God I let out a breath of relief as that thick rich voice comes through my speakers. All my tensed muscles relax instantly. But his voice is gruff as if he has just woken up from a trance. When I don't reply he clears his throat and speaks again. "Are you there princess?" He asks and I just nod my head as if he can see me from the other side. "Kellane..." He drawls this time but with impatience.

"Bally..." I whisper finally finding my voice. I'm still in a little shock. I let in a sharp intake of air with my nose and exhales it out with mouth loudly.

"Are you okay?" His voice comes out laced with worry. I nod, again. "Princess?"

"Bally I miss you." The words come out faster before stopping them. My eyes bulge out as I gasp covering my mouth with my palm. Silence takes over for the next few seconds before he wheezes out from the other side. He might even get surprised. We were together on Saturday and today being on Monday we had a busy day. It's even 2 in the morning, Tuesday now. Okay yesterday,  He had three exams. I had two. So we didn't see each other. I didn't take my lunch, I had an exam immediately after lunch break, I was reviewing. After exams I headed home straight away.

"You do?"  He asks in a husky voice. I nod. Again! "Are you okay though?"

"Me?" I breath in surprise.

"No her." He responds dryly. "Yes you of course."

"Am good, why? " I ask ruefully.

" C'mon princess there has to be something." He cajoles. " You picked up your phone after the first ring meaning you were up. Tell me, are you okay? "

" I should be asking you that! " I exclaim with a hint of bitterness. "Maybe my phone picked itself. " I mutter sarcastically. " Bally I just had a nightmare, we were kids and we were happy making sandcastles but ... But---"

I stop mid sentence when the image floods my mind again. "It was revolting... So dreadful!" I holler running my fingers in my hair which is soaked in cold sweat now.

"Shhhh..." He hushes smoothly through the phone speaker. "It's going to be okay...there... there." He whispers, his voice caressing me like velvet and it's also making my skin tingle at the same time. "I missed you too." He speaks after a while of silence. "Now tell me how you dreamt."
