Your eyes brightened when you spotted the jewel you've been searching since you arrived. The only reason why you had attended this god awful party was to have the perfect cover to make a quick getaway. By the time someone realized the jewel was gone, you would've been light years away. Everyone that had attended the party would be a suspect but not you. You had stolen the invitation and the man whose invitation you had stolen would be the suspect. It was just too easy.
Making sure that no one is paying attention to you, you slowly make your way across the room. You're just a few more steps away from the jewel when you bump into a woman. You're briefly distracted from your mission by the sheer beauty of this woman. She was absolutely breathtaking.
"Forgive me, I was just in a rush."
"It's quite alright. Where are you headed?"
The woman looks towards a man for a brief second. You follow her line of sight to see the same man who you knew was hosting the party.
"I'm sure that he wouldn't mind if I pulled you away for a bit."
To make sure that she wouldn't get in trouble, she looks to the man who briefly nods, giving her the go ahead to talk to you.
"Drink?"
At her nod, you take one from the waitress and hand it to her.
"I'm (fake name)"
"Qi'ra."

In just a short time, the two of you were well acquainted with each other. It almost seem like that two of you were close friends. You liked her a lot but nothing could happen with the two of you. You had noticed the mark on her wrist and she could very well kill you for what you were about to do. It almost made you want to just forget about the jewel for a second but you couldn't. You owned money to a lot of people and the jewel was going to cover all your debts.
"It's been lovely getting to know you but I unfortunately have to go. I was only meant to just make a quick appearance and then leave but then I bumped into you. I'm glad that I did."
"There's nothing I can do to get you to stay? I like spending time with you."
"Unfortunately, no. I have to leave but I hope to see you soon?"
"I hope so too."
You give her a quick hug and pretend to head out of the party. Once you see that she's gone, you make your way back to the jewel. You make sure that no one is looking before tossing it in your back. As quick as you can, you rush out the door and make your way to your ship, finding Qi'ra at your ship. She has a blaster pointed at you.
"and to think that we were getting along. You were just using me as a distraction."
"Qi'ra, I can explain."
She shots besides you, making you yelp in surprise. You raise your hands and stop a few feet away from you. This side of her was completely unexpected.
"I could kill you for stealing from Crimson Dawn."
"Or you could not. I thought we had a nice time together."
Qi'ra makes her way to you, wrapping an arm around your neck while pointing the blaster straight at your stomach. It made you wince as the tip of the blaster dug into your stomach.
"I thought we did too. I should kill you. They'll certainly kill me if I don't."
"Why don't you come with me? I have the fastest ship in the universe. They'll never find you."
Qi'ra lets her head rest against your chest while she used the blaster to raise your shirt. The action made you shiver at cold weapon against your skin.
"You'll keep me safe?"
"I will."
Your eyes widened as her finger slowly pressed down on the trigger. You closed your eyes, waiting for the blaster to go off but it never did. When you opened your eyes, Qi'ra was giving you a playful smile.
"I'll take you up on your offer. I like you and you're fun."
She presses her lips against yours and holsters her weapon. You're a little bit in shock about what just happened.
"Well what are you waiting for? Lets go!"
You open the ship and lead her inside. This trip had turned out better than you had hoped.
