Rather than reading the latest note that had appeared at your office, you just crumbled it up and tossed it in the trash. For the past 2 weeks, Selina had been doing anything and everything to make it up to you. From something as simple as leaving you 'I'm sorry,' notes to actually giving you stolen jewelry that had been reported missing. That only lasted for a couple of days when Selina realized that giving your stolen jewelry was not helping her case. So instead, she would leave notes along with flowers that were given to her by her friend Ivy. You had only known because of the specific instructions that Ivy had written for you to take care of the special flowers.
You loved the flowers but that was just about it. Selina had hurt you and you refused to let her in again.

There's a knock at your door, completely surprising you as the doorman hadn't announced someone coming to visit you. Cautious about who it could've been, you look through the peephole, finding Selina dressed in something that you would never see her in a million years. The outfit was more like something that Harley Quinn would wear. Curious about what made her wear this, you opened the door.
"...I didn't think you would actually open the door for me."
You just popped your head out the door to better see Selina's outfit. It was a little adorable to see her wear such bright colors.
"Yeah, well I'm curious as to why you're wearing..." You motioned to her outfit. "that."
Selina looks down at her outfit with a sigh. She was hell of uncomfortable but Harley had been right about doing something completely outrageous to get you to talk to her.
"I figured this might give me a chance to talk to you and it did."
"We talked. Now you can go."
You're about to close the door when Selina presses her hand against the door to stop you from fully closing it.
"Please, just give me a few minutes to explain everything and if you never want to see me again after then I won't bother you anymore."
You think about it for a second before ultimately opening the door wider for her to come in.
"Better make it fast."

You watched in amusement as Selina tried and failed to utter a single word for the past few minutes. It was obvious that she had a lot to say but had no idea where to start.
"Why did you do it, Selina? Why come home with me and pretend to be a friend just to stab me in the back and steal the heirloom that I told you meant the world to me."
Selina flushes red in embarrassment for what she had done almost two weeks ago. A day doesn't go by without her thinking about how fucked up she had been for stealing from you after the amazing night the two of you had.
"I-I've never been good in relationships. I've always burned bridges and hurt those that I care about a lot because I panic when I feel something close to love. That night we spent together, all I could think about was the fact that you made me feel things that no one has ever made me feel before. You made me feel loved and cared for. I was so stupid for panicking like that and stealing from you. I regretted the moment that the safe had opened. I-I'm so sorry, (y/n)."
Selina fell to her knees, not being able to hold back the tears that she's been holding back since she had started talking. She knew that you could never forgive her for what she had foolishly done and it upset her that there was nothing she could do to fix things.
From your seat, you watched as Selina had broken down. Your first instinct had been to comfort and make her feel better but you stopped yourself. She had hurt you and didn't deserve the kindness that you had offered her the night the two of you had spent together. But your heart couldn't take seeing her like that. The rational part told you that you were just going to get your heart broken again but deep down you knew that Selina was truly sorry for what she had done. She had immediately tried to correct her mistake and regretted it the moment she had done it.
Standing up, you kneeled beside her, pulling her into a hug. Selina just cried even harder in your arms. Thinking that you were only trying to comfort her out of pity.
"I was furious and upset when I found out that you had taken my grandmother's necklace. I had told you how much it meant to me and yet you stole it. Then you came back and returned it, apologizing that it had been a mistake and that you should've never done it. I was confused. I had no idea what your true intentions were. Were you just trying to make up for what you had done in order to access more valuables or were you genuinely. For the next two weeks, you did anything short of giving your life to make it up to me. Now seeing how broken you are for the mistake you did, I realized that you truly regretted what you had done."
Selina's crying had subsided as she listened to you talk.
"I'm giving you a second chance, Selina. If you ever do anything like that, I'll hand you to Batman myself. It doesn't matter if the jewels that Catwoman have been reappearing. You know how much of a justice boner he gets when he sends someone to Arkham."
"wait, you're giving me a second chance."
You smile and nod at her.
"I am. Father has always told me to give people second chances when they've proven that they regret what they've done."
"I don't know what to say."
"For starters, how about I lend you a pair of pajamas so you can stay over and have a redo of our last night."
Selina rapidly nods, afraid that you would take back your invitation if she hesitated.
"I would love that."

In the morning, you smiled widely when you felt a pair of arms wrapped around your waist as they held you close.
