You/Hayley Marshall - Different

You had skimmed through Elijah's letter, knowing that the only reason that he was contacting you was because they needed something from you. It had been years since you had last seen your family and yet no one had bothered to contact you. It had hurt at first but it's been a while that you were past it.

Like you had known, Elijah was asking for your help as Klaus had gotten a woman named Hayley, pregnant. You ignored the fact that the only reason why he was contacting you was because you were Klaus' only full sibling and a hybrid. There was no way you could turn them down. Deep down, you still cared for them. To let them know you were coming, you sent them a letter and began to prepare for the long journey.

Elijah and Klaus are waiting for you outside when you arrive. It had take almost an entire week to get back to Louisiana.

"My dear sister! You're back." Klaus hugged you while you just stood there. "Okay, not a fan of a welcome party."

"I've been gone for years and none of you had ever sent letter or even replied to the ones I sent. I'm only here to help the poor girl."

You bumped shoulders with Klaus as you headed inside. You thought you had gotten over the fact that they just basically ignored you but seeing them again just brought all your feelings back. You just wanted to go back to your place. As soon as you were done helping Klaus, you were planning on leaving.

"Where is she?"

Elijah pushed past Klaus and led you to the room that Hayley was currently staying at.

"Hayley, this is (y/n)..."

You blocked him out as the two of you locked eyes. It hadn't been your intention to imprint on Hayley but it couldn't been helped. She was your mate. This was going to complicate things.

"Stay away from me. I don't want anything to do with you!"

Hayley screamed at you. She had felt everything shift when you came in. This could only mean one thing, the two of you had imprinted with each other. She hated Klaus for everything that he had done and seeing how similar the two of you looked, she could only see how the two of you might be similar.

"Hayley, (y/n) is here to help! You could die if we don't figure out how to safely deliver this baby."

"I don't care. I would rathe die than deal with her."

Hayley turned around, refusing to meet your eyes again.

"I...I'll wait outside"

You mumbled, heartbroken that she was just rejecting you.

"Woah, what happened? What did Elijah do?"

Klaus asks you when he finds you near tears on the couch.

"Hayley and I imprinted on each other. She basically told me that she wants nothing to do with me and I've been here for almost and hour to see if Elijah could convince her to at least accept my help."

"Ouch. I'll talk to her."

Klaus knocks on the door to alert Elijah and Hayley of him coming in.

"I heard about the brutal rejection. That wasn't nice Hayley. She only came here to help."

"I don't want to deal with her. I'm about to give birth to your kid and I don't need to deal with another you. We might have imprinted but I'm planning on rejecting her."

Klaus turns to Elijah, silently asking him to give them space. Elijah takes the hint and leaves.

"(y/n) is not like me. She's not like any of our family. She's different. It's why she left. (y/n) had killed someone to protect a little girl that she never even met and it haunted her. This place brings her terrible memories but she came because we asked her for her help."

Hayley searches Klau's eyes for any deception. Finding nothing, she lets out a sigh and eventually nods.

"Fine. I'll let her help."

"I was wrong about you."

Hayley whispers after giving birth. You and Hayley had only spent a couple of days together but it felt like you had known each other for years. It was easy to go from acquaintances, friends and now lovers.

"I don't blame you for assuming that I was like my brother. Not like you had anyone else to compare me with."

Hayley leaned besides you as she looked down at (baby's name). You were currently holding them as Hayley was still exhausted after the entire ordeal.

"Yeah but I was still in the wrong. I felt like in order for us to move on that we needed to talk about this."

You nod and leaned down to kiss her.

"Thank you. You should rest. I'll be here when you wake up."

Hayley gave you a thankful smile and closed her eyes. She couldn't wait to move out of Louisiana with you.
