It's another exhausting day for you, considering you're current dilemma. Since you're a prophet, Sam and Dean had no other choice but to ask you to help them decipher the angel tablet. They needed to find a way to open back up the gates of Heaven.

You sigh, reaching for another bottle of beer. It's the only thing that relieves the painful headaches. You start to add painkillers into the mix, guzzling down a couple.

Sam looks at you from across the table, with worry in his eyes. You set your beer down, "What?" You look back at him, with bags under your bloodshot red eyes.

"Are you alright (Y/N)? You sure you don't need a break?" Sam asks, pursing his lips.

You wipe your eyes and try to fake a smile, "I'm fine, don't worry about me. I need to decipher this." You stare at the stone tablet, feeling your vision go blurry.

Before you know it, the tablet slips through your hand and lands hard on the table. Sam flinches abruptly and stares back at you. Suddenly, everything goes black.

"Great you're finally awake. I was starting to get worried," Sam smiles slightly, sighing in relief.

You blink a few times for a moment and realize you're back in your room. "I should probably get back to reading the tablet."

You try to sit up but Sam stops you. "No (Y/N). You can read it later. For now you need to rest."

"But I'm fine really. And why are you so worried?" you ask. You'd only met Sam about a month ago and even though you and Sam became pretty close, you didn't think he liked you more than a friend.

He gives you a docile, worried look with his puppy brown eyes. "I...I just don't like to see you like this. Popping pills and drowning down gallons of alcohol, it's not good for you." Sam takes your hands, "I think it was a bad idea to drag you into all this supernatural nonsense. You could just live a normal life."

You gently stroke his cheek, "No Sam, I can't. And you know that. Every demon, every angel....they're all after me. And as long as I'm on the side of the Winchesters, I know I'll be fine. It's too late for me to have a normal life but I don't really care anymore."

You chuckle slightly which soon gains a slight grin from Sam. "I'm fine Sam, really. And if you're so worried, I'll take some rest for now."

He smiles and kisses you on the cheek. "Good. Well I should go and let you rest. Night, (Y/N)."

"Night," you smile, hoping he doesn't notice you blush. Sam covers a blanket over you and turns off the light. And soon that night, you get the rest you've been craving for a long time.
