"You know I really don't need your help. I can do this on my own," you offered to Gadreel, who had decided to help you hunt the shifter.

"Preposterous," he scoffed, "If I leave you alone, you will probably just end up getting arrested again. You need my assistance."

You rolled your eyes at his arrogance and crept forward, holding a silver blade in hand. You were walking through an underground sewer system, following the trails of gooey, dead skin. You cringed at the smell, "This is disgusting."

"I've smelled worse," Gadreel muttered from behind you, staying close. Suddenly, you heard a clinking sound.

"Is that you Gadreel?" You asked, turning to look back at him. You were caught by surprise by how close he had been standing behind you but calmed down.

He furrowed his eyebrows, "Is what me?" You opened your mouth to answer but stopped as you saw his eyes focus on something behind you.

You tilted your head in confusion but turned to see what he was looking at. "Sam? How'd you get here?" You asked him, arching a brow.

"I came to save you from the shifter," he replied. Something seemed off about him.

"What do you mean? I didn't even tell you what I was hunting. How'd you even find me?" you persisted, not really sure what was going on.

"I'll explain later. Just come with me. You can't trust him," Sam said, pointing at Gadreel.

"Why not?" you asked blankly, most likely knowing the answer.

"Because he's the shifter. Gadreel's not even alive, remember?"Sam reminded you. But that didn't make any sense. You were pretty sure the Angel blade Gadreel was holding was silver and he hadn't grimaced not once, meaning he definitely couldn't be the shifter.

"Don't believe him (Y/N)," Gadreel finally spoke, "He is the real shapeshifter."

You looked back and forth at Sam and Gadreel. Inhaling nervously, you gripped your silver blade and launched at the shifter/Sam. He quickly gripped your wrist before you reached his throat and forced the knife near your neck. This was it.

All of the sudden, a blade plunged through the shifter's abdomen and he dropped to the ground, withering. Gadreel stood behind him with his angel blade held up, breathing heavily. "Are you alright?" he glanced up at you with his light blue eyes.

"Yeah...thanks," you nodded, catching your breath.

~A Few Months Later~

"Why did you not call me earlier?" Gadreel asked, his eyes filled with worry. Ever since that day he saved you from the shifter, you asked him to come along with you on other hunts to help out. However, this time you thought you should go on your own, since it was just a simple witch. Or so you thought.

"Hey don't point the finger at me mister! I did try to call you. I prayed for hours. So where the hell were you?" you raised your voice at him.

"I had some business to take care of in Heaven. I'm sorry," he muttered calmly. You started to feel bad that you were being so rude to him. It's not like he doesn't have his own life, he can't wait for you hand and foot.

"It's fine. You look cute when you're sad," you blurted out. He furrowed his eyebrows at you, a smirk arising from his face. Your face reddened and you shook your head, "I meant to say I need your help removing this truth spell a witch casted on me. It's making me embarrass myself in front of everyone, especially a hottie like you."

He tilted his head, unsure at the gesture you were making. You buried your face in your hands, filled with embarrassment. "Please get rid of this damn spell," you groaned.

"I can try. But I'll need to locate the witch," Gadreel said, breaking some of the awkwardness.

"Okay. I'll come along. I really would love to see you topless," you covered your mouth right after you said that. This was seriously getting out of hand.

Gadreel's eyes widened, suddenly understanding what was going on.He squinted, "Do you...have feelings for me (Y/N)?"

You shook your head vigorously, "Yes..."You paused and caught yourself, "I mean yes. I mean...oh my gosh this stupid spell is getting on my last nerves..."

He chuckled, gazing into your eyes. "what are you laughing at?" (y/n) asked angrily.

"Because I've wanted to be with you since the moment we met. I just never thought you would admit to having feelings for me," Gadreel stated with a smile.

You glanced up at him, shocked by his response. Maybe the truth spell wasn't so terrible. You started to ramble, "I'm sorry it's the damn spell. I keep saying stupid things and it's embarrassing and you probably think I'm ridiculous now and..."

Gadreel interrupted your long speech by pressing his lips hard onto yours.Your eyes widened at first but they fluttered down as you kissed him back. His lips were soft and tasted sweet, and you wanted more of him. It felt like time had slowed down and it was just that moment.

You pulled away slowly, catching your breath. You smiled, "Is it odd that I'm kinda happy that witch casted a truth spell on me?"

Gadreel chuckled and answered with another chaste kiss, wrapping his arms around your waist.
