"Are you awake, baby?"

I heard Michael's deep morning voice almost directly into my ear. But I was too tired to answer.

"Baaaaaby?" he cooed.

"Good morning."

But I tried my best to ignore him and to keep myself from smiling. I'd much rather that he let me sleep.

"Wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up."

Great. Now I failed on the smiling part, and I'm sure he noticed that my cheeks pulled upwards against his chest.

"Rise and shine, beautiful. I've got plans for us today."

"Can't I just sleep a little bit longer?" I mumbled, refusing to open my eyes.

"Did you know that your Spanish accent is more evident when you're tired?"

I just hummed, until I registered what he'd said.

"I don't have a Spanish accent?!"

"Yes, you do. And do you know what?"

He leaned closer until his lips touched my ear, and a shiver of electricity went down my spine and throughout my entire nervous system.

"It turns me on."

My eyes opened and I looked directly into his big brown ones, that now had a glimpse of mischief in them. And a smirk played upon his lips, before he licked them and bit his lower one. If I could brush my teeth with mind power only, I would kiss him. But I didn't get the time, because Michael got up, walked over to my side of the bed and yanked the bedsheets away. Then he lifted me up bridal style, and carried me to the bathroom, with me squealing and clinging around his neck.

"You need to stop doing that!"

"Do what?" he giggled, but he knew exactly what I meant.

"Put me down!"

"As you wish, Milady."

He carefully sat me down on the toilet, kneeled down on one knee and kissed my hand theatrically.

"I'm gonna spoil you rotten today."

"You don't need that. I'm perfectly fine. And by the way, you can have your Visa card back."

He pouted a little.

"But I want you to have it as long as you are here."

"No," I said and shook my head.

"It doesn't feel right."

Michael's pout transformed into a smirk. I knew that smirk.

"Maybe I need to make you feel right, then?"

I blushed and tried to hide a shy smile. Then I watched him stand up and turn on the shower.

"This is about to become a routine," I said and yawned a bit. Then I got up and brushed my teeth. And Michael followed my example and stood behind me, holding my gaze in the mirror until I started giggling. I felt emotionally drained after last night. But every minute together with this man was like a vitamin shot, that lifted me up from the gutter.

"I don't mind that."

I thought for a moment and stopped brushing my teeth. Then I rinsed my mouth, before I caught his gaze again.

"Me neither," I finally said, and earned another smile in return. Then he kissed my cheek and made a huge white toothpaste mark while he laughed goofily.
