"Sophia's our wedding planner?" I exclaimed almost at the same time as I got to wrap my arms around Ana. She instantly giggled.

"Yes, she is."

"But what about the lady I told you about?"

"What about her?" she retorted. We let go and I could see her eyes contain a cocktail of stubbornness and defiance, but also amusement.

"She..." I started, but I felt confused and didn't know what to say.

"I told you that I want to be in charge of our wedding. I don't want to be run over again and not have anything to say."

She squinted at me before she continued.

"And since Sophia is my best friend, and since we both know how to arrange celebrations in a big scale, I think you should trust us."

I mumbled something to myself and Ana giggled again. Then she gave me the puppy dog eyes and pulled at the corners of my mouth to make me smile.

"It's not that I don't trust her, but..."

"Shut up and give me a kiss," she said with a smirk and captured my lips with hers. And with that she made me forget all about weddings, curious eyes and my driver who was telling us to get inside the limo before the paparazzies found us. Hell, I even forgot my own existence for a moment.

"Ehrrm..." I coughed as we parted, and was relieved that she didn't see my face when I helped her and Lilly inside. My cheeks were flushed like on a school boy getting a hug from his crush. How could she still have that effect on me after over a year? And now she giggled again and it was the most soothing sound in the whole world. I just wanted to listen to it again and again. Instead, my hand found hers and entwined our fingers, and our eyes met with love.

"I've missed you," I said, and knew my face was glazed with the cheekiest and most lovesick grin. But I didn't care. I really did miss her, and couldn't wait to get her all to myself later tonight. Then I turned to our daughter who was sound asleep next to me.

"I've missed you too, little flower."

I gently stroke Lilly's cheek and watched her automatically lean against my finger for a moment. So, worried I might wake her up before we got back to the hotel, I let her be and settled on caressing her with my eyes instead.

"We've missed you like crazy, too."

Ana nudged me with her shoulder and glanced at me with the look I knew so well. The way nobody else looked at me. Love. The different kind. She loved me for me, and that's it. I couldn't ask for more. She was perfect.

I saw her drift off into thoughts and her eyes shifted from me to Lilly. And I was just about to ask why she suddenly looked sad. Was she ill?

"It's so strange not to belong anywhere," she said quietly, causing me to frown until she corrected herself.

"I mean, in Spain. It was like I had no reason to be there anymore."

"Yeah? And how did that make you feel?"

She made a half-shrug and looked lost for a second or two, before her eyes went back to gleaming like sunbeams at dawn.

"It makes me feel even more at home when I'm together with you."
