I feel like I haven't really explained why Dika is so protective of the other nations and is so willing to lay down her life to protect any of them. So I'm going to. It's all because of a promise she made to them all, even though none of them know it.

Unlike many of them, Dika's never really lost anyone like many of the nations have. She's never seen Matthew walk off to a war that he will die from. She's never seen Ivan be placed six feet under like her friends. She's never said goodbye to her siblings forever. She's lost no family or friends. When she heard the news of the Ancients death, she felt horrible. Many of the nations cried when telling the stories. She couldn't even imagine the pain they had to go through.

So she swore if she could help it she wouldn't let it happen again. She doesn't want them to be hurt anymore by the pain of a close one dying. So she'll stand up and fight because she doesn't want others to go through anymore heart break. She'll hurt anyone to keep her friends from that, even at the cost of her own life. She's yet to see that she's very important to many of them.
