I just noticed something. We've seen Romulus visit Feli a lot... but I just noticed that Romulus has never spoken to Feli on any of those visits. He's either sang songs and stuff to scare others off. In the whole episode just about a visit from Romulus, he never said hi to Feli. Feli was asleep the whole time. The Roman only spoke with Ludwig.
Now I'm starting to think if the Ancients ever do visit, they never say anything to their children. They probably know it would hurt too much when they leave again to be reminded that they can't see each other every day like they used to. So just seeing and not speaking works so they are reminded of the memories and know the parents are still thinking of their little ones.
