Dika was whimpering in fear. The bullies that were beating her up now had a broken bottle in their hands. The little girl closed her eyes, thinking it was the end. She looked at her ruined dress and pulled on hair. She hated being weak, but she was.
"Leave her alone!" she heard a voice yell. She looked up and saw her older brother Toris running over. He stood in front of the girl, looking ready to take on the group of five.
"And who's going to make us?" one boy asked, shoving Toris.
"A dork like you?" another asked. Than Toris punched him full force, knocking him out. The others ran in fear, leaving the two alone.
"Thanks Toris," Dika said.
"Let's get you home," he said, wrapping his coat around her and leaving him off.
Dika smiled. She knew no matter what happened to her, her big brother would always protect her. Even at the cost of his own life.
