Part 73

Valerie and Cayden were fighting rogues, hunters and vampires but Valerie's main target was Randall. Her eyes were searching for him, but like some mouse she was unable to trace him. Didn't he join the battle? She thought. Did he send his warriors to fight his fight and stay behind like some coward that he is.

She looked towards Autumn who was trying to defeat her mother. Using magic was taking a toll on her body. From afar she could see that she was getting weak. Azazel on the other hand was looking absolutely fine.

Valerie dodged some attacks, killed some and wounded some in search of Randall. Finally she saw him fighting Russian vampire leader. She felt satisfied when she saw a look of defeat and tiredness on Randall's face while fighting the Russian vampire. It seemed he was on the brink of defeat when suddenly he touched the chain that he was wearing around his neck and muttered something. Within seconds Azazel appeared in front of him and started incantation which leads to the Russian vampire to freeze. Valerie looked back and saw a baffled Autumn searching for her mother. The necklace was the key of communication between the duo. Until he is wearing that defeating him is impossible.

Valerie found Cayden and told him about the necklace. She Alexei and told him the situation too.

"I think I have a plan." Alexei said. Valerie looked towards him hopefully. "I will taunt Randall to fight and when he will start fighting with me, which he can't win. He will take out his necklace to call Azazel, Cayden will try to snatch it and once it is no longer on his neck Valerie can kill him or fight him or whatever."

Valerie chuckled at his sense of humor. Only Alexei has the power to find humor in the times of adversity. They all agreed to it and decided to go for it.

Alexei went first and started saying mean things to Randall that coaxed him to fight with Alexei. Randall was good in fighting she will have to agree on that but Alexei was best. As expected when he thought he is about to loose he took out his necklace.

Cayden jumped on him and took his hand in his grasp. He blew a sucker punch on his face that causes Randall to loose his balance.

"Two for one." Randall smirked. But they both didn't pay any heed. Cayden went for his necklace but Randall smiled a vicious smile. Out of no where a hunter brought Scarlett in front of him. This caused Cayden to loose his concentration for a second. And that was all it needed for Randall. He took out his bow. Alexei and Valerie saw what he was about to do. Both shouted Cayden's name but the damage was done. Randall has let loose one of the arrows that pierced Cayden's chest and he fell down.

Alexei did not waste any further moment, he went for Randall's neck and snatched the necklace. Randall yelled a frustrated cry. Valerie knew she can't look for Cayden just yet. She jumped and punched Randall hard on the face. But Suddenly Valerie felt a pain in her heart.

She looked horror struck towards Cayden. It meant that something bad has happened to her mate. Alexei was crouched down beside Cayden. Randall smiled a crooked smile. He was doing everything in his power to distract Valerie but she knew it was now or never. She grasped Randall's neck in her elbow joint and tossed him down.

"If I die, you won't be able to find your sister." He taunted.

"If I can live without my mate then I can sure live without my sister." Valerie replied.

Randall was taken aback. He didn't expect such lack of emotions from her. He tried once again "If your father had been such emotional dry, he would have been alive today. But he was more worried about his kids and his mate."

There was flicker of emotion on Valerie's face that caused Valerie to loosen her grip. Randall took hold of the opportunity and tossed Valerie back. He took out the bow and arrow but Valerie was faster than him. She jumped on him and grasped his arm. She twisted his arm that caused the bow to fell down. She punched him on the stomach, then on face. She placed a hard punch on his shoulder to dislocate it. She kicked behind his knee to dislocate his knee joint. He fell down on the ground. Finally she grasped his head with both hands and twisted his neck.

Randall's body fell down on the ground. Once she was satisfied that he is dead, she rushed towards Alexei. She found Dmitri and Alexei carrying Cayden's body towards side.

"Is he alive?" Valerie asked approaching them,

"Barely." Dmitri replied.

It looked like all air has left Valerie's lungs but she saw his warriors still fighting and now was not the time to grieve.

She went back near the Randall's body and changed her hand into claw. She decapitated his neck and yelled with full force. "Your leader is dead. Randall is dead."

The whole commotion went silent for a moment and then they all heard a ear piercing loud scream. It was Azael's. She incanted something that caused fast wind to blow and Earth to shake. Autumn, Flora and April muttered a spell together that caused the twigs of trees to elongate and twist around Azael's hands and legs.

"You won't be able to find your sister Valerie. Only Randall and I knew where she is kept."

"Very well then, Randall is dead and you are still alive. Either you tell me or I will kill you and ask my vampire friends to drink every last ounce of blood from your veins. And then I will ask your daughter to use magic to find out about my sister's whereabouts or you can tell me.

"Do you really think these measly witch and your oracles can bind me. I am most powerful witch." Azazel taunted.

"You see I might loose my mate because of Randall." Valerie heard many gasps but she continued. "I am really furious and has gone dark. No magic strong or not will not be able to stop me from decapitating you."

There was something in Valerie's eyes that made Azazel fear her.

"I will let you know her location." Azazel replied.

Once she told the location, Valerie sent Jason and Ryder to find her. When they reached there they informed her that they have found Genesis and that she is fine. Valerie heaved a sigh of relief and looked towards Autumn. "Kill her. Kill your mother this instance."

"What?" She asked perplexed

"Kill her or I will." Valerie demanded.

"I just told you your sister's location."

"So? You also caused me huge damage. I lost many of my warriors today."

"I can't do it." Autumn replied. "She is my mother."

"See how weak and pathetic your witch it." Azazel taunted

"Having emotions and caring for your evil mother is not lack of courage. It requires courage to not kill someone when every part of your body wants to do it. If she can't do it then I will."

Valerie took a step towards her when suddenly Azazel's body was lying in the ground with her neck twisted and behind her Dmitri was standing.

"The war is over. We won. Take as many hostages as you can and kill all the rouges. They are the werewolves that decided to go against their own kind and kill them. Take rest as prisoners." She ordered and started walking towards Alexei.

"Is it true about Cayden." Flora asked

"Yes." Valerie replied.

When she reached Alexei, she asked him about Cayden's whereabouts.

"Some of his pack members has taken him back to the pack infirmary. We should head too."

Valerie nodded. "But what about here?"

"Dmitri will handle everything with the help of Dominic. We should go and see Cayden." And they all left.

It is not edited and short. I am not that good in writing fight scenes so the part is not upto the mark. Next will be last chapter and the book will be completed.
