~Missing someone gets easier everyday. Even though you are one day further from the last time you saw them you are also one day closer to the next time you'll see them

In my case this is true.

My alarm went off and a smile made its way to my lips. I pulled my pillow over my face and screamed. Not out of anger or sadness... finally
But out of pure blissfulness
I tapped my phone screen turn off the noise and sat up pulling my bonnet off my head

I wait a moment before attempting to get up because in five, four, three, two, one...

A knock, the door knob twists for a while indicating a struggle. Once the door finally open my lights turn on and-

"Morning Mercy." I small voice says.
Tiny feet rush across my floor towards my bed. I watch with a smile as he struggles to get up eventually putting the little guy out of his misery and helping him up

"Morning babes."

"Moma says I should come and get you for breakfast." He says rather excitedly.

"Well I have to get ready first. I have to brush my teeth and shower and comb my hair and-"

"Okay, okay shut it already." He groans and I laugh. Tickling him he falls laughing and out of breath until I hear a knock on the door

"Ooo you're so lucky they've come to save you."

My mother walks in "Bellamy I thought I told you to get ready for your doctors appointment."

The little man pouts and hides under my blanket. My mother and Genesis adopted Bellamy while I was away at school. When I came home I found him tucked away all quiet in his room across from mine.
It took a while but I eventually cracked him and now we're the best of friends.
I didn't think I wanted a brother but I'm happy that he's here

Especially when I know my moms have wanted a kid for a while now. He's three and smart as hell. He's also a very beautiful kid. Pretty eyes with specs of brown and green. Light brown hair, and fair skin. He's mixed but his melanin didn't quite get the memo

I pulled the cover off of him "Bell common we can get dressed together I'll even help you pick out an outfit."

"Can we match?!"

His eyes light up at that idea and I nod "of course."

"Well since I'm not needed I expect you both downstairs in the next hour." She points at the both of us

I look at Bell "who's she talking to?"

"Clearly not us." He says

"I'm talking to the both of you. Get up now or else I'm coming back up with my belt."

She closed the door and that motivated us to get going. I picked out a plain white romper with my denim jacket and Jordan's. Bell's outfit for today was a white button down with dark jeans and Jordan's that matched mine.
