Bad Times

A few days later. 

I walked into the compound and saw Hope coming my way. Oh yeah, Hope has now the powers of the Hollow inside of her, Rebekah woke up with her body being shipped overseas and Kol's back with his wife.

Me "you okay?"

Hope shook her head "no"

she walked past me. I sighed. 

I heard her stop walking and turned to her. 

She looked at me "is everything okay with you and dad?"

I nodded, confused "why wouldn't it be?"

Hope shot me a look"you can't lie to me"

I shook my head "I'm not lying to you, Hope"

She threw me another look "sure."

Suddenly she looked around. 

I raised an eyebrow. 

Then I saw her grimacing a little. 

I asked worried "you okay?"

She nodded "yeah, yeah, i'm going to go to my room"

I nodded and she walked past me upstairs.

I made my way up the stairs when i ran into Nik. 

He froze when he saw me "Love, i-i-"

Me "I'm here for Hope. Is she upstairs?"

He nodded. 

I nodded "okay."

Nik "for what do you need her?"

I showed him the necklace and he raised an eyebrow. 

Me "Hope's my step-daughter. I love her and want to protect her as much as you do, Nik. We decided to take the necklace off of her a few years ago but i think it's time to put it back on her again. I know it's not gonna keep the darkness off of her for good but it could at least easy the pain, you know"

Nik "i never doubted your love for her but.."

Me "..you wish things were different"

He nodded. 

Me "me too"

Suddenly Freya walked inside. 

She smiled when she saw me "Ariana, i thought you wanted-"

I nodded "yeah, i'm just back for hope"

Then i walked upstairs into Hope's room. 

I saw her sitting on the bed with her head in her hands. 

Me "Hope?"

She looked at me "Riri, hey"

I asked worried "you okay?"

She nodded "yeah, what are you doing here?"

I held the necklace out "help trying to easy the pain"

She shook her head "i don't need it."

Me "and i wasn't asking"

Hope "Riri, you said it, i'm strong. I can control myself. "

I shook my head "no, you can't."

She sighed. 

I sighed again "princess, please"

She looked at it and nodded "okay, if, um..if i put that on, do you promise to stop worrying. "

Me "I'm your step-mom, i'll always worry about you"

She held her wrist out and i put the necklace around it. 

She looked relieved but tried to play it off "there. feel better?"

I nodded "much"

She smiled and stood up "thanks, Riri"

Then she hugged me. 

Me "of course, princess"

Then she walked out. 

Night. At church. 

I walked inside and my heart broke.

 A bomb had went up in here, trying to kill the werewolves.

I saw Marcel and Josh walking inside. 

They walked to me. 

I asked confused "how could this happen?"

Josh looked down. 

Marcel shook my head  "the vampires aren't listening to me anymore"

I raised my voice "then make them listen, Marcel!"

Marcel "i can't "

Me "you are Marcel Gerard! You made them listen once and you can do it again! Even if you have to kill to make your point"

Marcel nodded "i will"

At home.

I was sitting downstairs at the bar with a drink in my hand. 

Suddenly i heard someone behind me "would you mind if i join?"

I looked at him and took a sip of my drink. 

Nik "so you aren't even talking to me anymore"

I looked at my drink "I thought i had made myself clear, Nik"

Nik nodded "you did and i will give you your time but this is about Hope"

I asked worried "what about her?"

Nik "the necklace wasn't working"

I asked shocked "what?"

Nik "She went after Elijah. Seems like the only thing that could ease the pain is violence"

Me "Well, then she got the perfect father for that"

He nodded and sighed "Listen, i was wondering if you would be open to help me kidnap someone. "

I raised an eyebrow "and who?"

Nik "Roman."

I smirked "okay"

He smirked.
