A few days later.

It's Mardi Gras. Yay. Nik had went to France to get Elijah but came back without Elijah. 

Well, i wish i could say i feel bad for my husband i can't. 

Last night we had found Henry hung up dead. His heart was out. Hope was pretty shocked. Everyone was shocked.

Nik and i haven't talked. i don't wanna talk to him. I'm hurt and pissed and i think i would just scream at him if he opens his mouth.

People were preparing for the feast. And despite our differences the whole city celebrates Carnival season together.

Hope is back at Boarding School and Nik's threatening everyone to get HAyley back. He's edge.

I walked into the compound and saw people everywhere. Detectives.

I sighed annoyed and walked upstairs.

I saw Marcel talking to Nik "compelling NOLA's finest, i see. "

Nik "if that's the city's finest, then it will whither from its mediocrity. "

Me "hey"

Marcel milled at me, Hey. "

I hugged him.

Marcel "now, what are humans gonna do that the other factions can't?"

Nik looked at me and ignored Marcel. 

Marcel "Klaus"

Nik "they have the numbers. I need eyes everywhere. Whoever did this can't hide from me"

Marcel looked at him closer.

Nik "what?"

Marcel "clear eyes, focused demeanor. You know, for Klaus Mikaelson, i'd say you're acting pretty normal. "

I raised an eyebrow.

Nik "if you've got a point, Marcel, spit it out"

Marcel "There's chatter you're unhinged. I'm just making sure you're not poised to do something that we'll all regret"
