1.36 "Not Funny, Aria"

Next day. Morning. 

I felt miserable for even thinking about considering the deal. It was horrible. 

Suddenly there were noises coming from the other room. 

I stood up and walked into the room. Elijah was lying on the bed. 

Nik was holding a plant in his hand and he was wearing a guilty face. 

He rubbed the plant on Elijah's neck.

Nik "we were innocent once, Elijah. This bloodlust was forced upon us by our parents, turning us from prey to predator. We are he demons lurking in shadow.  We have a savage villains in fairy tales told to children, but not for my child, not for hope. In her story, we are the knights in shining armor. Without you by my side, i don't think i can survive my on love for my daughter. I need you. I need you, brother.  The monster in me can only be checked by the monster in you. Only together can we defeat our demons and save our family. "

Suddenly Elijah jumped up.

He looked around, shocked.

I walked into Nik's bedroom and saw him standing in front of the window. He had his arms crossed and was looking out of it. 

I closed the door behind me and walked to him. 

Nik "I killed my father"

I looked at him. 

Nik "my birth father"

I sighed and hugged his side "I'm sorry you had to do that"

He hugged me back "what did you want to tell me, love?"

I sighed and let go of him. I walked to the bed and sat down on the edge of it. 

Nik raised an eyebrow "Love?"

Me "Don't be mad at me, okay? "

He nodded "yeah"

Me "promise"

He raised an eyebrow but nodded "I promise"

Me "I had a chat with Esther"

He clenched his jaw "you had what?"

Me "you promised, Nik"

He took a deep breath "I'm sorry, my fault"

I nodded "I found Elijah at the cemetery strung up in one of the tombs. I was gonna get him out when Esther showed up"

Nik kneeled down in front of me "did she hurt you?"

I shook my head "She didn't"

He breathed out relieved. 

Me "She started to talk about my family, about your family. She offered to bring my brother back to life, Nik"

Nik "And what is it that she wants in return?"

I looked down. 

Nik "Ariana"

Suddenly i heard someone yell my name. 

I looked at Nik, confused "Better question: what did you do?"

A smirk grew on his face.

I ran downstairs into the inner courtyard and saw Kol and Finn handcuffed to the stair railing. 

Kol was yelling for me "Ariana!"

I started to laugh "oh my god"

Kol looked at me, not amused "not funny, Aria"
