Hello there! What you're feeling is perfectly normal. Right now, you're just fearing rejection and her reaction to you asking her out. As all relationships begin, maybe rather than asking her out, out of the blue, perhaps you can become friends with her instead. That way you can get to know her better, and it will be way less awkward for you.

The best way to start is to start with the small things. Maybe smile at her when you see her in class, or wave when you see each other in the hallways. If possible, you can make small talk during class, like about the weather or so (this topic surprisingly makes for a good conversation). You can also try going out of your way to help her, like lending a pencil or a piece of paper if needed. However, above all, the most important thing is to be yourself (because everyone else is taken 😁).
