"Mom, can you tell us about your wedding to Y/n? We found some old photos." Luz asks.
I sigh. "Sure, girls. It was a beautiful day, filled with love and hope. But sometimes, love isn't enough to make a marriage work."
Vee say. "But you and dad loved each other, didn't you? Why did you break up?"
"It's complicated, Vee. Your dad and I had our differences, and we couldn't work them out. But that's all in the past now."
"Mom, we want you and dad to be together again. Can we do something to make that happen?"
"I appreciate your sentiment, Luz. But your dad and I have moved on with our lives. We're happy the way things are."
"But what if you're meant to be together? What if you're missing out on true love?"
"I don't know, Vee. Sometimes I wonder what could have been if things had worked out differently."
"Then let's make it happen! We'll invite dad over for dinner and make sure you two have a chance to talk." Luz say.
"I don't know if that's a good idea..."
"Please, Mom? Just give it a chance. You never know what might happen." Luz say.
"Alright, let's do it."
