Author’s POV
They both sat on a rock a bit far from RagLak seeing the way the shoot is going on. Mayank has gone due to some work which Nupur has told him suddenly.
“Awww… they are so cute!” she said suddenly putting her hand on his shoulder.
His heart stopped for a second and then raised the speed as if going to a marathon. He turned and looked at her face which is really very near to him and glowing in the light of before the sunset.
He has been taking glances of her since morning making sure he doesn’t get caught by Mayank or her. She has been talking something or the other with Mayank since morning and frequently commenting how cute his di and jiju are looking together. Now as Mayank has gone it was only them and she has only him to talk. When Mayank said he is going his mind danced in all kinds of dance forms realising that he is going to get atleast few minutes with her alone. He knows that they will not be talking much but he can get the chance to get her glances even more now.
He kept staring her face until she turns towards him. As soon as she turned towards him he turned away to not to get caught by her.
“You were staring me?” she asked with frown suddenly.
His heart stopped beating for a second for getting caught but immediately he composed and looked at her confused.
“Why would I?” He asked trying to be normal.
“Because I know I am cute!” she shrugged and looked again at RagLak.
He looked at her surprised and a smile formed on his lips.
“What If I am?” he asked raising his eyebrow.
She looked at him.
“I don’t mind!” she said shrugging.
“And why don’t you mind?” he asked really very much surprised.
“Because I like you!” She said so casually making him choke.
He started coughing badly while she got worried and immediately passed the water bottle which is beside her. He drank and relaxed a bit. He looked at her and she smiled. He couldn’t help but smile looking away.
“You have any problem if I continue liking you?” She asked.
He could only look at her shocked almost his eyes popping out of his sockets.
“You look more cute when you are shocked!” She says pulling his cheek.
He once again chokes and this time she rubs his back helping him to calm down. Once he calmed down he looks at her with wide eyes. She winked at him giggling.
“Please spare me for few seconds.” He said keeping his hand on his chest.
She laughed looking at his condition. She suddenly held his hand and kept her head on his shoulder. He couldn’t help but smile.
“I really mean it. I liked you at the first meet only. It was like attraction but as we kept meeting it was something that is pulling me towards you.” She said looking at RagLak.
He looked at her. He was shocked at all the sudden revelations is just an understatement.
“And I have always observed you glancing me secretely.” She said suddenly.
“Mummaaa! Save me!” He said with another shocking revelation.
She laughed again looking at him. He smiled seeing her laugh. It made something to his heart.
“But you have to wait!” She said suddenly getting serious.
“I will!” He said sincerely looking into her eyes.
She smiled widely. She suddenly forwarded her hand. He asked at her confused.
“Phone!” she said.
He looked confused but passed his phone to her. She looked at the phone and smiled seeing the wallpaper which is of His and Ragini’s.
“You know you have many similarities with Lucky Bhai!” she said caressing the photo.
He kept looking at her.
“You both love your sisters a lot!” She said and smiled looking at him.
He smiled and looked at Ragini nodding.
“You don’t have lock!” She exclaimed.
“Not needed!” He shrugged.
“But now it’s needed!” She said posing for a selfie with him.
He smiled at the camera and then looked at her with raised eyebrow.
“Because it will have our secrets now!” she said forwarding him his phone.
He raised his eyebrow.
“What? Won’t you talk to me when I go back?” she asked.
He smiles understanding. She smiled back at him.
“When will you ask my number?” she pouted.
“I know you will tell yourself!” he smirked.
“How?” she asked confused.
“After all what you spoke till now in just ten minutes I could figure it out that you will yourself tell me!” he chuckled.
She bit her tongue and smiled sheepishly. She again pulled his phone and typed her number then ringed it so that she can save in her phone.
“With what name will you save my number?” she asked.
He smiled.
“For now it will be Miss. Cutie!” he said taking his phone and saving it.
She grinned.
“Then I will save it as Mr. Cute!” She said grinning.
He chuckles. They see RagLak coming towards them and stands up. They bid bye and go with their respective siblings.

Her POV
He twirled me thrice and pulled me towards him making my front crash his front. He held me through my waist and nuzzled his nose with mine while both of us are smiling ear to ear. Finally done with photoshoot which is actually a video shoot too that I didn’t knew earlier. From morning we are busy with this shoot. Now we are in a beautiful place in beach. The sunset looked more beautiful than regular. Don’t know whether it’s the speciality of the place or the person beside me. But what ever it is I loved it a lot.
“Now go home and take rest. Don’t think anything. Everything will be alright tomorrow. Okay?” he spoke cupping my face.
I nodded with smile. He smiled back making my heart flutter. After today the love I have on him increased to limitless. He made sure every minute to make me comfortable. He has changed many poses the photographer has suggested just because I don’t feel comfortable. Again all I can say is I can’t be luckier than getting him in my life. Less than a week and I am going to be his forever.
This thought has just made me realise that I am going to leave my parents and brother and go. There is a sudden feel of crying and I can already feel my eyes turn teary.
“Di!” I heard Prit’s worried voice.
I composed and looked at him trying to smile. That’s when I realised we actually reached home too.
“Di what happened? Where are you lost? And why do you look worried again?” Prit kept bombarding his questions.
My eyes turned moist once again.
“Di!” he called again with concern.
I just hugged him and started sobbing in his embrace. He hugged me back.
“Di you are scaring me. Please tell me what happened? You were alright till now. What happened suddenly?” he asked me concerned but I am not in a state to answer him.
I kept crying in his embrace while he let me cry till I calmed down. Once I felt a bit better broke the hug and wiped my tears.
“Di?” he cupped my face.
“I am sad!” I pouted looking at him.
He looked confused as well as concerned.
“I will be leaving you all soon!” I said with my eyes getting moist again.
His eyes turned teary too. He kissed my forehead lovingly.
“But you can come here whenever you want to just in less than 30 minutes. It’s your house.” He tried to console me.
But the things will not be as easy as he said. Everything will change. Everything! I smiled at him lightly and nodded. He sighed in a bit relief seeing my smile.
“You know you look like ghost when you cry!” he smirked.
I didn’t hit him like every time but just smiled at him. He frowned.
“You won’t hit me?” he asked.
I shook my head and hugged him again. He sighed and hugged me back.
“I will miss you a lot!” he whispered with chocking voice.
I just rubbed his back consoling him. Once we both composed ourselves we broke the hug.
“Now no more rona dona. Put this to the stupid ritual we have at the end of the wedding. Atleast enjoy these last days with us without finding ways to talk privately with Jiju!” he said smirking.
I hit him this time and he starred running. I chased him shouting him to stop. We reached inside shouting at each other and chasing but stopped when we saw Nani looking at us angrily. Now what happened to her?
“What?” I asked looking at her confused.
“Why are you so late? Didn’t I tell you not to roam after six in the evening? First of all letting you to go out just before a week of your wedding is my mistake. But then your nanu has to make me agree for that stupid photoshoot. And you, you will never listen to me. You always do what you want to. Your father has spoiled you a lot. It’s my mistake to trust your parents in your upbringings.” She panted speaking continuously.
I giggled and heard few more giggles and turned to see Papa, Ma, Prit, Nanu and Mami also giggling. Krish must have gone to railway station to receive mamu. Nani fumed and went inside stamping her foot. I laughed and others followed my laugh.
“Just don’t take her words into your heart. But yes don’t roam much Princess. You will get tan!” Nanu caressed my hair and winked at the end.
I laughed and nodded. He went to his room to pacify Nani. I looked at papa and hugged him.
“Ma today may I sleep with you please?” I asked looking at ma still in papa’s embrace.
Papa cupped my face and nodded. I smiled. He kissed my forehead.
“And…” I stopped to see ma frown but papa raising his eyebrow asking what.
“I just need to go out for sometime tomorrow morning. Pleaseee!” I made a puppy face and looked at both ma papa simultaneously.
Papa immediately nodded okay while ma shook her head glaring me. I made a puppy face but she didn’t budge.
“Janu let her. But Princess tomorrow is the last. You will not step out after that till your marriage day. Okay!” he spoke strictly.
I immediately nodded vigorously. Papa smiled and looked at ma. She huffed and nodded. I grinned.
“Go fresh yourself and take some rest till mamu reaches.” Papa said and I nodded.
I moved towards my room and my phone buzzed. I know who it must be. I sat on the bed and opened the message.
‘Reached?’ he texted.
'Nodding!’ I texted.
‘Laughing!’ he texted.
‘Laughing too!’ I texted back chuckling.
'Shaking head in disbelief' he texted back.
‘😂😂🤣🤣' I sent him.
‘Are you really rolling like that emoji while laughing? 😉’ He asked with wink.
I twisted my lips.
‘Yes! You have a problem? *twisting lips*' I texted him.
'Awww… you will look the cutest!’ he texted back.
I don’t know why I felt my cheeks getting heat.
‘☺️☺️' I texted back.
'You are blushing reallyyyy? 😯😯’ He texted back.
‘I want to see you then!’ He sent again another message.
Before I could even reply I got his video call.
UNBELIEVABLE! I took the call and looked at him with frown.
“Aww! Why is my wifey frowning and looking the cutest?” he asked raising his eyebrow.
“We were together just some an hour ago and you want to see me already?” I asked raising my eyebrows.
“Haawww! So mean. Don’t you want to see me? If you don’t want also I don’t care. I can stay staring you for hours. It doesn’t matter how much time it is for me. All I would do is keep staring you.” He said sincerely looking at me.
Speechless! How can he always make me speechless with his talks. I kept looking at him lovingly. He snapped his fingers in front of the camera making me come out of my world.
“Where are you lost madam?” he asked.
“No where!” I said shaking my head and smiling at him.
“We didn’t talk after the shoot. So I want to ask you how did you feel?” he asked.
“It was beautiful and I enjoyed a lot!” I said smiling brightly.
He smiled widely with shine in his eyes. I suddenly heard car sound.
“Mamu is here!” I said with excitement.
He smiled.
“Go and spend time with him. You missed him so much no.” he said.
I nodded yes vigorously.
“Bye wifey!” he said.
I said bye and ran out of the room cutting the call.
“Princess!” I heard mamu’s voice as soon as he stepped inside the house.
I just ran to him and hugged him. He hugged me back happily.
“I missed youuuuuu!” I said looking at him with pout from him embrace.
He smiled and kissed my forehead.
“I missed you too Baby!” He said pulling my cheek.
I giggled.
“Do you even remember that you have a sister?” ma asked with jealous filled voice.
Mamu looked at ma and then me. I winked at him and he winked back. He was about to move towards her but I held him and hugged him.
“Who are you to my mamu?” I asked looking at her.
She fumed and hit my head lightly.
“He is my brother that is why he is your mamu!” she said making faces.
All laughed seeing us. Mamu took ma also in his embrace while I am still in his embrace. She glared me from his embrace while I showed my tongue to her. Mamu chuckled. Ma shook her head and smiled finally. That’s when I left him for others so that they can atleast have a little bit of love from him. Once they all greeted him I again got to my Possessive niece mode pulling mamu speaking all the nonsense to him. While he listened to me patiently.
After sometime we had dinner. I moved to ma papa’s room. Papa is sitting and doing something in laptop.
“Papa!” I whined and moved towards him.
He looked at me and closed the laptop. I grinned and jumped on to the bed. I laid putting my head in his lap. Ma sat beside papa smiling. I held her hand and kept on my head. She started caressing my hair.
“Hmm… so you are scared!” Papa said suddenly.
I looked at him for a moment and nodded with moist eyes.
“Oye no crying.” He said wiping the tear that escaped my eye.
I pouted and hugged his waist hiding my face. He caressed my hair consoling me.
“Shhh! Princess you are making ma and me also cry.” He said.
I looked at him with teary eyes. He wiped my face. I sat up and moved to his embrace.
“It’s common baby. You just need to be strong. Now you are going to start a completely new life and I am sure you will definitely do your best in this new life.” Papa said caressing my hair.
I looked at ma. She nodded her head with smile assuring me with her eyes.
“I will miss you!” I said clutching papa's shirt.
“We will miss you too. But this is meant to happen. Don’t know who kept this rule to send their daughters to some other’s house after marriage. If I get to know na then I will definitely go and fight with that person for the injustice he/she did with girls and their fathers. He/she would have kept like whoever wants to go can go other wise like a bigggg jointttt family. Nobody will miss nobody and all will be together forever. Don’t you think this is good?” Papa asked looking at me.
I couldn’t help but chuckle and nod at him. Ma smiled at us. Papa showed his palm and I hified with him.
“But you know I am angry on you!” Papa said suddenly.
I frowned and looked at him.
“Why?” I asked.
“Why did you grow so fast?” He asked.
Ma shook her head in disbelief. I pouted at him.
“Not my mistake!” I said pouting.
Papa chuckled. I smiled. And we started talking about my childhood how my first day of school was and all. Slowly I went to sleep still on papa’s shoulder. I felt papa making me lay on bed with pillow under my head in sleep. I felt him kissing my forehead and I fell into a deep sleep.

His POV
I reached home and saw Papa and ma talking sitting in the hall.
“Just few days and our Laksh will be married.” Ma spoke with smile on her face.
“Yeah the struggle of two years!” Papa said and chuckled.
I chuckled along with him making both of them look at me. Chotu ran inside her room saying she is going to rest.
“Oh you are back. No wonder the glow of marriage is increasing day by day.” Papa teased.
I chuckled and sat beside him.
“Why are you on teasing mode papa?” I asked looking at him.
“Arey Beta ji it’s not teasing it’s JEALOUSY!” Papa said making faces.
Ma and me looked at him confused.
“At our time there is not even possibility to meet our would be atleast once before marriage but for you, you keep meeting her every now and then. Don’t know how many times you would have met her without our knowledge.” Papa spoke making faces.
“Seriously Durga!” Ma shook her head and went to kitchen.
I laughed seeing papa making faces at ma.
“Don’t laugh idiot!” Papa said hitting me lightly.
I muffled my laugh.
“Tell me honestly how many times you guys met without our knowledge?” Papa whispered bending towards me.
I looked at him for few moments and then shook my head.
“Oh hello! Say these lies to your ma and dadi. I know you. Come on I am not going to reveal your secret. Tell me.” Papa whispered again and bent towards me as if forwarding his ear to me.
“Papa yaar I am saying na we didn’t. Then why do you think so?” I tried not to blurt out the truth.
He made faces and shook his head.
“Unromantic idiot!” He said making faces.
I looked at him with frown but understood his trick and immediately shrugged my shoulder.
“It is to be proved to my wifey not to my father. So think whatever you want. Bye I am going to take rest. I am tired.” I said shaking my head and got up.
Papa laughed seeing me trying to escape.
“I will get the details for sure Mr. Beta Maheshwari. Don’t worry!” Papa said a bit loudly so that I can hear from almost near my room.
“You will get the same answer Mr. Papa Maheshwari. All the best!” I said confidently because I know he won’t even try to get the details.
I heard his laugh before entering into my room. I shook my head with smile and sat on my bed leaning to the bed post. I took my phone and texted her.
‘Reached?’ I texted.
I saw the blue ticks immediately. My smile widened.
'Nodding!’ she texted.

‘Laughing!’ I texted back following her and still laughing.
‘Laughing too!’ she texted back.
'Shaking head in disbelief' I texted really shaking my head for our childishness.

‘I want to see you then!’ I immediately sent another message.
And immediately made the video call not waiting for her reply. She accepted the call and she looked sooo cute with that frown on her face. But why is she even frowning?
“Aww! Why is my wifey frowning and looking the cutest?” I asked raising my eyebrow.
“We were together just some an hour ago and you want to see me already?” she asked raising her eyebrows.
“Haawww! So mean. Don’t you want to see me? If you don’t want also I don’t care. I can stay staring you for hours. It doesn’t matter how much time it is for me. All I would do is keep staring you.” I said sincerely looking at her.
I am missing her from the next second we both departed to homes. I saw her getting lost somewhere. I snapped my fingers near the camera bringing her back to land.
“Where are you lost madam?” I asked.
“No where!” she said shaking her head and smiling at me.
“We didn’t talk after the shoot. So I want to ask you how did you feel?” I asked her.
I should know how did she feel while we were shooting.
“It was beautiful and I enjoyed a lot!” she said smiling brightly.
I smiled widely with happiness. All I want is her happiness. She enjoyed that is what I wanted. I am happy.
“Mamu is here!” she said suddenly with excitement.
I smiled seeing her excited. She was missing her mamu. I know how many times she said how much she missed in engagement.
“Go and spend time with him. You missed him so much no.” I said.
She nodded yes vigorously.
“Bye wifey!” I said.
She said bye and cut the call. I smiled and fell on the bed smiling remembering her cute faces she makes while she talks. I was still dreaming about her when I got a text regarding some office work. So I got to the work for sometime. I missed working too. It’s been two days I am not going to office because ma strictly prohibited me from going to office. Thanks to Ronak who is managing there for me. He is always my saviour.

Her POV
I stood in front of the house holding Laksh’s hand tight.
“Come on wifey. We aren’t going to any exam. He is your best friend. You just need to sort out everything.” He tried to cheer me.
I looked at him and he nodded his head encouraging me. I took deep breathe and moved towards the entrance finally. I looked at him again and he nodded again assuring me. I pressed the calling bell and waited impatiently for him to open. He opened the door and my eyes turned teary seeing his condition. He looked devastated. His eyes turned teary looking at me. He silently gave way for us and we entered inside. He closed the door and came inside.
“Sit!” he said looking down.
I looked at Laksh. He nodded. I just moved towards Shivam and stood in front of him. He is not looking at me.
“I am sorry!” I whispered looking down.
He looked up immediately.
“Ginu why are you sorry? I was the one who did all the mistakes.” He said immediately trying to console me.
I shook my head.
“But I am the reason for everything right!” I said.
He immediately shook his head vigorously.
“No not at all. You are not the reason for anything. All you wanted was my good but I made everything other way. I am really sorry for hurting you and also for trying to hurt Laksh. I know I don’t deserve your forgiveness but atleast let me come to your marriage. Because I promised you earlier to be in every function of your marriage. I don’t want to break atleast that promise of yours.” His voice chocked many times in the middle.
I looked at him with teary eyes.
“Okay let’s come to conclusion. Both of us are at mistake. I should have took other way and make you understand and you shouldn’t have took everything wrong way. Now no arguments. I just want to sort out everything and want us to be back to normal. Let’s forget everything. Only Ragini and Shivam are best friends forever. Deal?” I asked forwarding my hand.
He smiled seeing my hand but shook his head.
“No deal. We are no more best friends. I don’t want to make your life anymore complicated. As I said earlier I am going to surrender myself to police once your marriage is done. But I am happy that you forgave me. Thank You!” he said smiling painfully.
My eyes turned teary. That’s when I heard Laksh clearing his throat.
“You are not surrendering!” He declared.
Shivam smiled painfully.
“I have decided!” Shivam spoke.
“YOU ARE NOT!” Laksh said strictly.
“I am going to!” Shivam again said.
I kept looking at both of them simultaneously turning my head. They kept saying same for two more times frustrating me.
“STOP!” I shouted making both of them startle.
“You are not and that's final. When the person whom you wanted to hurt is forgiving you why are you dragging it?” I asked Shivam being frustrated.
“Because I deserve to be punished Ginu!” Shivam said.
I looked at Laksh helpless.
“Then I will only punish you. It is like family matter which will be solved inside the family. No need to go out of the house. So it’s decided everything now.” Laksh said looking at him.
Shivam looked at me helpless. I shrugged my shoulders.
“Shivam you are always special to Ragini. It is not the only reason which I wanted to forgive you. It’s because I have seen you regret. I have seen you change. I have seen the pain you went through when you realised what you did. I am not doing this all for mahanta and all. But I am doing this because I want to. I have no grudges towards you. I already told you that I really like to be your friend. And I want to give my friend a chance. Will you let me?” Laksh asked forwarding his hand to Shivam.
Shivam stared the hand for few moments and finally shook his hand with teary smile. I smiled brightly while tears flow through my cheeks. Laksh looked at me with smile. I nodded wiping my tears. Peace! Is what I am feeling right now. Thank You god for sending Laksh into my life. I thanked god again.
“Let’s partyyyy!” I shouted.
They both smiled.
“I want Pizza, Burger, French fries, coke, Choco lava cake…” I was saying the list and Laksh was looking at me with wide eyes while Shivam rolled his eyes.
“Stop!” Shivam stopped me.
“Say any of the two items you want to have. I don’t like wasting food. You order those all and eat two items later say I am full.” Shivam spoke taunting.
Laksh chuckled seeing my pout. I took the pillow from the couch and started hitting Shivam who ran from there. I chased him and finally got hold of him. I gave him good number of punches in stomach. He chuckled instead of screaming in pain. He pulled the pillow and threw it away. I huffed and hugged him. He smiled hugging me back.
“I am sorry and Thank You Ginu!” he said breaking the hug.
I just smiled and nodded. I looked at Laksh who is seeing us with smile. I smiled back looking at him. Shivam cleared his throat making both of us look away.
“Sorry for disturbing guys but let’s really have something. I am very hungry. So what will you have?” Shivam asked looking at both of us teasingly.
I blushed looking down and moved towards the couch. I sat beside Laksh and Shivam followed me.
“No we need to leave now. Nani was already showering with beautiful and so pleasant words for coming out of the house.” I said composing myself.
“Then party?” Shivam asked.
“You guys party at her house. I cannot come. We will party together after marriage.” Laksh said smiling.
“Done! And let me invite Aarushi too.” I said excited.
“Umm… Can I invite Aadhya?” He asked with hesitation.
I looked at him with raised eyebrow.
“She was a greatest support during this times yaar. Like she has become another best friend. Please!” He made puppy face.
I just nodded.
“Pakka?” He asked with frown.
“Pakka!” I smiled and he smiled brightly.
Why do I smell something? I looked at Laksh who has similar expression of mine. He nodded his head and I smiled at him.
“Okay It’s time to leave. When will we party?” I asked standing from the couch.
“Evening?” Shivam asked.
I nodded vigorously. He smiled and side hugged me. Then Shivam and Laksh hugged eachother which made me happy. We bid bye and came out of the house.
“You smell something between them?” I asked looking at him when we are near my car.
“It will definitely take time for him to realise but yes I do smell it Miss. Detective.” He pulled my nose making me giggle.
“Happy?” he asked suddenly cupping my cheek.
I smiled and nodded. He smiled back and kissed my forehead.
“I promised to sort out everything before the marriage and see everything is fine. We can get married peacefully.” He said smiling.
I nodded happily.
“Now time to leave wifey. Dadi is no less than Nani. She must be making ruckus at home. Let’s have video call if we want to talk till marriage. Meet you again on marriage day!” He said.
I pouted but nodded. He patted my cheek and moved towards his car. I got into the car and drove off waving at him.
