Her POV
I woke up from sleep. Its 11.00 am. I am hungry already. So I just left to freshen up in ten minutes. I took my phone and ran downstairs to have food. This hand is troubling me huh! I sat on the couch beside ma.
"Maa hungry!" I said as soon as I sat beside her.
"Let me get you food!" Ma said.
She went and brought the plate served for me. Papa came and sat beside me.
"Papa you didn't go to office?" I asked as he said he will go today.
"I was tired beta. So thought to postpone the work!" Papa said taking the plate from ma and forwarding a morsel.
I opened my mouth and he fed me.
"Here are your tablets which you have to take after breakfast... No no brunch di!" Prit said giving me a cover of medicines correcting the breakfast into brunch.
"Yes boss!" I said taking the cover from him.
Papa fed me. I had with full interest as I am very hungry.
"Today you had completely like a good girl without any tantrums. What's the matter?" Papa asked.
I pouted. I don't throw tantrums everyday. It's just when papa is feeding me only I throw them as he intentionally feeds me more.
"I am a good girl. You only feed me more everytime you feed me. So it's obvious I throw tantrums papa!" I said pouting.
He chuckled. He gave me the water glass and took the medicines from my hand. He looked at the prescription and gave me the medicines which I have to take. Ma and all are resting as everybody are tired due to engagement. His phone rang so he went to talk. I also took my phone and saw HIS message.
"Good morning wifey!" Was his message which he texted me in the morning.
And I was sleeping at that time.
"Good afternoon Hubby! Sorry I was sleeping!" I replied him.
My phone buzzed immediately. He is free it seems. I opened the message.
"Wifey! Where are you exactly in the house?" He texted me.
Hein?
"Hein? why?" I asked being confused of why is he asking me where I am in the house.
"First I asked na so you have to answer me first." He texted me back.
Stubborn! I murmured and texted him back.
"I am in the hall. Just had brunch!" I texted.
"Now go open the main door of your house!" He texted me.
Why? I was confused again. Today he took the job to confuse me.
"Why?" I texted back.
"Stop questioning and Do what I say wifey!" He texted again.
Huh! I twisted my lips and texted him back.
"Fine 😒" I texted back showing my expression in the emoji.
I got up and went to open the door. I opened the door to see Ma, Papa and HIM. My eyes widened in surprise.
"Maaa!" I squealed happily and hugged ma.
Ma laughed and hugged me carefully. I then hugged papa too. I looked at him. He raised his eyebrow two times. I laughed shaking my head. He gave his hand to me. I held his hand and we went inside. Due to my squeal all came outside to see what happened. Hehe! Nani glared me which only I know. He sat still holding my hand. Ok so this shows he is here due to his fear of last night's nightmare. Good he came here. I will make him fine. Prit also came out and he hugged Laksh sitting beside him.
"How are feeling Prit?" Laksh asked looking at him.
"I am fine jiju. Don't worry!" He said smiling.
Laksh smiled at him.
"We wanted to just check them again to make ourselves feel better." Dp Papa said caressing my hair. He is sitting beside.
I smiled brightly.
"Papa I want to tell you all something." He said looking at all of us seriously.
"Say beta!" Papa said.
"Umm... It's just that I want you guys also have guards with you. I don't want to risk. I know it will be uncomfortable but just few days I promise to solve everything soon." He said with worry.
"It's ok beta I understand. If you feel that is good then let's go for it." Papa said.
Laksh smiled at him.
"They will be here by the evening papa." He said.
"And please anybody don't go out without atleast one of the guards with you." He requested looking at all of us.
"Speically you Ragini. Please don't go against this please!" He pleaded looking at me.
I looked at him and nodded yes assuring him through my eyes. I know he is very much worried about me after accident and to add it his nightmare. He sighed heavily. I texted Prit something. He understood what he should do.
"Ma, papa we will sit in di's room for sometime. Jiju, di and Krish bhai come." Prit said.
I know he wants to talk to me. That's why I asked Prit for help. We went to my room along with Prit and Krish who went to the balcony as soon as we reached to the room. He looked around the room and his eyes fell on the photographs hanging to the wall. He smiled lightly seeing them.
"I am waiting to put ours in between them." I whispered hugging his hand.
He looked at me and smiled.
"You took your medicines?" He asked caressing my hand which has sling.
I nodded. Why are you so caring Mr. Hubby?
"Did the pain reduce atleast a little?" He asked with teary eyes.
Aww... Again he started crying. My cute and lovely Hubby!
"It has reduced more than a little hubby. You stop these tears!" I said wiping his tears in the corner of his eyes breaking the hand hug.
It is giving pain to me seeing him like this. He looks scared and his eyes turn teary. He just smiled. We both settled on the bed. As soon as we sat he kept his arms around me and took me into his embrace. He kept my head on his chest and kept his chin on my head. I could hear his very fast heartbeats. He is also breathing heavily.
"Relax Hubbh! Relax!" I whispered.
He left a deep breath trying to relax. He did it for few times and I can feel he relaxed. I smiled in his embrace feeling him relaxing. I felt happy that I could relax him. What can a woman want to be for her husband than being his cure? I am happy that I am his cure now.
"Tell me what did you see in the dream? You will feel better!" I said looking up from his embrace.
He has to let it out. Otherwise he will get even more stressed and end up falling sick. He looked at me for few seconds then sighed nodding his head.
"You were in my arms completely filled with blood unconscious. I was trying to wake you but...." He stopped and his voice cracked at the end with tears flowing their way.
I got it. Him being very stressed is acceptable now. I could see him feeling miserable. I rubbed his back consoling him.
"Shh... It's ok. It's just a bad dream. Everything is fine!" I consoled him rubbing his back.
He nodded pulling me even more close into his embrace.
"You didn't sleep whole night right?" I asked cupping his face.
His eyes are very red and tired. He looked at me and nodded.
"Your eyes say that. They are very red." I said closing both his eyes with my hand and slowly caressed them with my thumb.
He relaxed. I can feel it. He stopped me from continuing to do that further and took me again into his embrace.
"Wifey!" He called me suddenly after few minutes.
"Hmm!" I hummed looking at him from his embrace.
"Can I...?" He stopped hesitatingly.
"What?" I asked confused.
"Can I kiss your forehead please?" He asked releasing a sigh.
This man! He has every damn right to kiss me. I already gave him that right infront of everybody yesterday. But still he is asking my permission. Do I need more than this? He is a 'GEM'! It would be less how much I thank my family for getting this man as my partner.
"When I let you do it in between the whole world you think that I will have problem here and now?" I whisper asked looking into his eyes.
I could see his eyes shined listening me. He cupped my face and pressed his lips on my forehead kissing me lovingly. It showed the immense care and love he had for me. I don't need words to know that he loves me. I can see in his every damn action how much he loves me and how much he cares for me. He let his lips there for longer time. I am feeling his love closing my eyes. He moved away and I opened the eyes missing his lips on my forehead. He looked at me and joined our foreheads.
"Thank You!" He said looking into my eyes.
Pagal! I smiled and shook my head as no.
"Remind me on our marriage day that I want to confess something to you. Would you?" He said looking at me.
I know what he wants to confess. I don't need his confession but if he wants to then I won't stop him. And if he wants to he can do today too na.
"Why not today?" I asked raising my eyebrow.
"I can't take risks!" He said.
I looked confused. Hein? What kind of risks? He shrugged his hands smiling at me. I just nodded ok as I know now he won't say anything. I smiled at him.
"Ragini beta Shivam is here!" We heard ma's voice.
I looked at him and he smiled but it wasn't reaching his eyes like always. But why?
"Let's go!" He said smiling which is still not reaching his eyes.
I didn't ask as I don't want him to stress even more now. If he feels to share he will definitely.
"Pri, Krish come let's go!" I called both of them.
They both came out and hugged him tight at a time.
"You know what you are the best!" Prit pulled his cheek giggling.
"Am I some kid to you idiot?" Laksh hit his head lightly.
Prit chuckled and ran out followed by Krish. I was smiling all the time looking at them. He looked at me and raised his eyebrow. I just shook my head as nothing. He gave his hand and I happily took it. We both walked towards the hall. I saw Shivam. I smiled at my best friend. Shivam moved towards me and hugged me. Laksh didn't leave my hand to hug Shivam back. I don't want him to leave my hand too. I am loving it.
"I am sorry!" I heard Shivam's whisper.
Hein? Why is he sorry?
"Why are you sorry?" I asked coming out of the hug.
I felt Laksh moving close to me and putting his hand around my shoulder.
"Sorry? What are you speaking yaar Ginu?" Shivam asked smiling.
"You said sorry, I heard you. Laksh didn't you hear?" I asked looking at Laksh.
I definitely heard it.
"I did!" He said looking at Shivam.
Shivam chuckled but it is fake. Anybody could figure it out.
"You guys are too much. I didn't. Anyways How is your hand?" Shivam asked changing the topic.
I also left the topic but Why do I feel strange whenever these both are together? I pushed that thought away and answered him.
"It's fine. But today your sudden visit surprised me!" I answered and asked smiling.
"Ahh! It's just I got to know about your accident and how can I not come to meet my best friend?" He said smiling.
"How did you get to know? Nobody knows except our families?" Laksh investigated.
He is looking very serious.
"Actually I called Janaki aunty in the morning as Ragini wasn't taking the call. She told me about the accident. I was planning for some get together with Aarushi, Ragini and me so I thought of asking when they will be free." He said looking at Laksh.
Oh yes I saw his missed calls but by seeing Laksh's message I didn't give heed to his calls. Later they are here and it went out of my mind completely. And about outing it will be fun.
"Let's go once my hand gets fixed. We will do lots of masti!" I said excited.
Shivam nodded smiling.
"Let's sit come!" I said to him.
"No I need to go. I just came to see how you are. Now that I got to know I had some work. So see you later. Bye!" He hugged me again.
He broke the hug and went from there bidding bye to others. I looked at Laksh who is in thoughts and called him asking shall we sit with our elders.
"Yup let's go!" He said smiling at me.
This smile is real. We both sat there.
"Let's have lunch. It's getting late!" Ma said.
"Arey no no Janaki ji. We will be leaving!" Anu Ma denied.
"What? But why?" He asked whinning suddenly.
I was surprised. I saw Anu ma glaring him. Hahaha he looked cute with his whinning face.
"What? This is too my house. I don't have any formalities. Ma chalo you feed me. I am very hungry." He said getting up.
I smiled widely hearing him. Ma and papa also became happy listening him. Anu Ma shook her head in disbelief. Dp Papa chuckled lightly looking at him. He went along with Ma talking something. Others also joined him on the dining.
I took my phone and surfing it when I saw Aarushi sent me a picture of Namish. Wowwww... He looked so handsome. I was openly drooling over him. Hehehe. That's when I heard him calling me.
"Oye wifey! Come on!" He called me.
"I already had my brunch. You guys carry on." I said still looking at Nami's photo.
After few seconds my phone is snatched by him. I looked at him in shock.
"I will go away in sometime then do enjoy with your phone. Till then be with me like a good girl." He said huffing and pulling me along with him to the dining table.
"Ok ok give me the phone. I won't use it." I whinned.
He snatched it from me... poor me.
"No. If you are stubborn, I am double stubborn!" Saying he kept the phone in his pocket and showed me his tongue.
I huffed and sat beside him. Namiii... I whinned in my mind. All laughed looking at our nokhjokh.
"You know what you are not the best you are the worst!" I said with angry face twisting my lips.
He didn't let me to see Namish's photo!
"Thank you for the compliment darling!" Saying he took morsel of paratha made by mami.
Compliment? This man is too much. Huh!
"Mami these are really yummy. Thank you so much!" He said taking another bite.
She smiled happily and came towards him to serve one more.
"Arey no no mami I am done. You just go and have your food." He pushed her and made her sit.
I was sitting keeping my hand on the table and my chin on my hand with pout.
"Prit you have ice cream at home?" He asked looking at Prit.
Huh Ice cream! Here I am angry on him, instead of pacifying me he wants to eat ice cream.
"Yes jiju. Let me get it for you." Prit said and about to go.
"No not for me. Give it to your di. She will cool down. See how she is burning in anger." Laksh said mischievously.
I looked at him with open mouth while all bursted out into the laughter. He immediately kept a bite of paratha in my mouth. I closed my mouth and glared him. He winked at me and I couldn't help but smile finally shaking my head in disbelief. He grinned. He forwarded another bite and I shook my head as no. He shrugged and had it himself. Finally all completed their lunch. We all got settled on the couch in the hall again and got into some conversation.
"Now I really think we should leave Janaki ji." Anu Ma said after sometime.
"No pleaseeeee!" He whinned again.
I am super surprised seeing this side of him. We all laughed at his cute whinning.
"Laksh beta I know you can come to our house before marriage so you are here but the bride and groom shouldn't stay much time together before marriage. It is inauspicious." Nani said.
It's final now he have to leave. If Nani said no then it's a clear no. He pouted and nodded. Anu ma glared him and he smiled sheepishly. He stood up and looked at me. I nodded my head smiling. He took everybody's blessings and hugged Prit and Krish. Then he moved out along with ma and papa. I walked following them till the door. They got settled in the car and he looked at me. Suddenly he got down and moved towards me. He forwarded my phone to me. I took it biting my tongue. I totally forgot about it. He chuckled at my expression.
"Bye wifey! Miss you!" He whispered.
"Bye hubby! Miss you too!" I whispered.
He kept moving backward still looking at me while I kept staring him with smile on my face. He turned and got into the car. He then waved at me. I waved back. I kept seeing the car till they go out of our house. The smile on his face showed that he is relaxed now. I am happy that he is finally relaxed though it's only for sometime.
When I was standing there at the entrance still staring the way he went I heard the throat clearing sound. I looked towards the source of sound to find papa.
"He went!" Papa teased.
I pouted. He chuckled and forwarded phone.
"Mamu is on the line." Papa said.
"Tell him I won't talk. I have two reasons now. If he wants to talk ask him to come here and pacify me!" I said twisting my lips.
He didn't attend my engagement. I am really angry. Second reason is to tease him about kidnapping papa haha. That was very funny.
"Sorry princess. But you know the meeting has brought to advance which should have been made after your marriage. I couldn't avoid it." He said as papa kept the phone in speaker mode.
I twisted my lips and looked away.
"Princess already I was upset for not able to attend your engagement and you are just adding salt to my wound." He said with sad voice.
I couldn't help but melt. I looked at papa and he forwarded the phone again. I took the phone and kept it near the ear switching off the speaker.
"I am sorry!" He said with sad voice.
"It's ok mamu. I was very upset when you said you can't make it. But as you are saying it's unavoidable I am adjusting. Atleast for marriage you will come no. You know na you have rituals to perform." I asked.
"I promise. I will come ten days before marriage." He said.
"Ok mamu! But I am angry for something else!" I said smiling mischievously.
Papa chuckled silently. He signed me to carry on and went inside.
"And what is that?" Mamu asked.
"You are a kidnapper and criminal!" I said controlling my laugh.
"What! Your idiot father told everything. He took away all my izzat!" He whinned.
I laughed hearing him.
"But he denied to my wish to get me married in the same manner like him mamu!" I said pouting.
"Hahahaha... Poor Laksh why to make him a victim. Heard that he loves you alot. He won't go leaving you. So we don't need to become criminals Princess!" Mamu said laughing.
I smiled listening him.
"But if you really wish that way let's plan something!' he said laughing.
I laughed along with him.
"No mamu. We will let him live peacefully till marriage. After marriage we will show him hell!" I said with mischief and mamu laughed.
We spoke for sometime and then hung up. I went inside the house smiling. I returned back papa his phone and went to my room to take some rest.
