A man drives down the street, into his garage and turns off the engine, a Michigan number license plate displayed on the bumper. The garage door starts winding down by itself and he looks at it, confused. His car doors then self lock. He struggles but cannot open them. The ignition key turns by itself and the engine starts. Exhaust smoke begins filling the garage. The man struggles to turn off the engine to no avail. The radio flicks on and the man begins to cough. "Help. Somebody help me!" He screams. By now the smoke is very thick and he keels over, unconscious.

I sit up bolt right and I began to take deep, quick breathes as a cold sweat runs down my face. That dream felt way too real....unless...oh no! I thought as I quickly get up and switch the lights on and start to change clothes when my phone goes off. I grab it and answer it. "Hello?" I answered. "Please tell me you didn't have the same vision?" Sam's voice asked and I stopped. "Unless you dreamt about a man dying in his car, then no." I said and Sam sighed. "Crap." I said.

Dean was driving the Impala while Sam was on the phone and I was sitting in the backseat. "McReady. Detective McReady. Badge number 158. I've got a signal 480 in progress, I need the registered owner of a two door sedan, Michigan licence plate Mary-Frank-six-zero-three-seven." Sam said as he reads from his notebook. "Yeah ok, just hurry." He said and I tap my foot on the floor of the car and let out a sigh.

"Guys relax. I'm sure it's just a nightmare." Dean said. "Yeah, tell us about it." I grumbled as I fold my arms across my chest. "I mean it. Y'know, a normal, everyday, naked-in-class, nightmare. This licence plate, it won't check out. You'll see." Dean said. "It felt different, Dean. Real. Like when I dreamt about our old house. And Jessica." Sam said. "And how do you explain that I had the same vision, Dean? Especially when I had the same vision about your old house when I've never been there before?" I asked, curiously.

"Why would you have premonitions about some random dude in Michigan?" Dean asked us. "I don't know." Sam and I exclaimed. "Me neither." Dean said and I scoff before Sam turns back to his phone. "Yes I'm here." He said. He listens, glares at Dean, then picks up his pen. "Jim Miller. Saginaw, Michigan. You have a street address? Got it. Thanks." He said as he writes on his notebook then hangs up his phone.

"Checks out. How far are we?" He asked Dean. "From Saginaw? Couple of hours." Dean said. "Drive faster." I said, firmly, and Dean puts the pedal to the metal.

Eventually, we cruise to a stop and see the ambulances and someone on a stretcher being zipped into a body bag. Sam and I turn to each other in the car then we look at Dean, who looks concerned.

Moments later, we approach the watching crowd. "What happened?" Dean asked the woman he walked up to. "Suicide. Can't believe it." She said as I go and stand next Dean and Sam goes to stand on the woman's other side.

"Did you know them?" He asked her. "Saw him in every Sunday at St Augustines. He always seems...seemed, so normal. I guess you never know what's going on behind closed doors." She said and I stare straight ahead at the building. "Guess not." I said then I turned to the woman.

"How are they saying it happened?" I asked her. "I heard they found him in the garage, locked inside his car with the engine running." She replied. "Do you know about what time they found him?" Sam asked. "Oh it just happened about an hour or two ago. His poor family. I can't even imagine what they're going through." She said, sadly.

Then a woman stands on the front step of the house, crying and leaning against a middle aged man. A young man stands behind them, looking distraught. I watch them, grimacing, then I turn to walk away. Sam walks up to my side as we walk over to the trunk of the Impala.

"Guys, we got here as fast we we could." Dean tries to assure us as he comes up to us. "Not fast enough." Sam grumbles. "It doesn't make any sense man. Why would Sam and I even have these premonitions if there wasn't a chance we could stop them from happening?" I asked, annoyed. "I dunno." Dean said and Sam and I shake our head.

"So what do you think killed him?" Sam asked Dean. "Maybe the guy just killed himself? Maybe there's nothing supernatural going on at all." Dean replied, shrugging. "I'm telling you, I watched it happen." Sam said to him and I nodded. "Same here. He was murdered by something, Dean. I watched it trap him in the garage." I said.

"What was it, a spirit, poltergeist, what?" Dean asked. "I don't know what it was." Sam said, getting worked up. "Hell, I don't know why Sam and I are having these dreams, I don't know what the hell is happening, Dean." I said as I run my hands over my face.

Once I was done I turned to see Dean staring at me. "What?" I asked him. "Nothing. I'm just, I'm worried about you and Sam." Dean said. "Well, don't look at us like that!" I said, annoyed. "I'm not looking at you like anything." Dean said as he looks away. Then he glances back at me and said. "Though I gotta say, you guys do look like crap."
"Nice." Sam scoffs as I said, sarcastically. "Thanks, Dean. Helps with my self-confidence."

"Come on, lets just pick this up in the morning. We'll check out the house, talk to the family." Dean said as he goes to the driver's side of the car. "Dean, you saw them, they're devastated They're not going to want to talk to us." Sam said as he gestures towards house. "Yeah, you're right. But I think I know who they will talk to." Dean said after he thinks for a moment.
"Who?" Sam and I asked and Dean smirks at us.

Next morning, Dean reaches out to the doorbell and push it as I fix my tunic. "This has gotta be a whole new low for us." Sam sighs as I look at him and Dean in their priest outfits. Dean turns to smirk at us then back at the door as it opens, revealing a man standing there.

"Good Afternoon. I'm Father Simmons, this is Father Frehley and this is Sister Criss. We're new junior priests and she's a new nun over at St Augustines. May we come in?" Dean asked the man, who nods. "Thanks." Dean said and the three of us enter.

"We're very sorry for your loss." Sam said to the man. "It's in difficult times like these when the Lord's guidance is most needed." Dean said and the man rolls his eyes. "Look, you wanna pitch your whole Lord has a plan thing? Fine. Just don't pitch it to me. My brother's dead." He spat and a woman comes up to him.

"Roger. Please!" She exclaims at him and Roget turns back to us. "Excuse me." He said and he walks away as the woman turns to us. "I'm sorry about my brother in law. He's...he's just so upset about Jim's death. Would you like some coffee?" She asked. "That would be great." Dean replied.

We were sitting on the couch in the living room as Ms. Miller pours coffee and hands it around to us. "It was wonderful of you to stop by. The support of the church means so much right now." She said to us. "Of course. After all we are all God's children." Dean said and Sam and I glance over at him. Ms Miller walks away and Dean immediately takes more cocktail sausages from the coffee table.

Chewing contentedly, he looks at Sam and I as we shake our heads at him. "What?" He asked. "Just...tone it down a little bit, Father." I said to him as Ms Miller returns.

"So Ms Miller, did you husband have a history of depression?" I asked her. "Nothing like that." She replied then she began to get upset. "We had our ups and downs like everyone but we were happy." She said then she breaks down. "I just don't understand...how Jim could do something like this." She cries. "I'm so sorry you had to find him like that." Sam said to her. "Actually, our son Max, he was the one who found him." She said as she gestures behind her.

Sam and I look up and see a young man, maybe around mine and Sam's age, sitting in the corner of the dining room. "Do you mind if maybe, we go talk to him?" Sam asked, gesturing between me and him. "Oh thank you, Father and Sister." She said and Sam and I stand up and approach Max.

"Max? Hey, I'm Sam and this is (y/n)." Sam introduced and I nod at him. Max nods at us as he looks between us then looks ahead of himself.

"So what was your Dad like?" I asked him. "Just a normal Dad." Max replied. "Yeah. You live at home now?" Sam asked. "Yeah. Trying to save up for school but it's hard." Max said.

"So when you found your dad..." I said, not knowing how to finish it but Max looks up at me. "I woke up, I heard the engine running." He started to say but there was a long pause before he speaks again. "I don't know why he did it." He said. "I know it's rough, losing a parent. Especially when you don't have all the answers." I said and Max nods, slightly.

Sam talks to him some more but I noticed Dean was not in the living room. I went and asked Ms Miller where he was and she told me he went upstairs to go to the restroom. I make my way upstairs then turn to my left to see Dean standing there, looking relieved.
"Anything?" I asked him. "Zip." He replied and we make our way back down the stairs.

That night, Dean was cleaning his weapons, while I typed away on my laptop, sitting on one of the beds, when Sam enters the hotel room. "What do you have?" Dean asked Sam. "A whole lotta nothing. Nothing bad has happened in the Miller house since it was built." Sam replied as he goes to sit down next to me.

"What about the land?" I asked him. "No grave yards, battle fields, tribal lands or any other kind of atrocity on or near the property." Sam said as he sinks down into the bed. "Hey man I told you, I searched that house up and down. No cold spots, sulfer scent. Nada." Dean said. "And the family said everything was normal?" I asked Dean. "Well, if there was a demon or poltergiest in there you think somebody would have noticed something? I used the infer-red thermal scanner and there was nothing." Dean replied.

"So what, you think Jim Miller killed himself and mine and (y/n)'s dream was just some sort of freakish coincidence??" Sam asked, annoyed. "I dunno. I'm pretty sure there's nothing supernatural about that house." Dean said when I felt a pounding against my head.

I start to rub my temples as Sam said. "Yeah. Well, maybe it has nothing to do with the house." He said then he starts to take a deep breath, I do the same as I hold my head. "Maybe it's just..." I said as I hold my hand to my forehead. "...maybe it's connected to Jim in some other way?" I asked then I groan in pain just as I hear Sam groaning too.

"What's wrong with you guys?" Dean asked, concerned. "My head." Sam and I groaned in anguish and I back onto the bed as I hear the laptop fall to the ground. "Sam? (Y/n)? Hey, Hey! What's going on? Talk to me." Dean said and I open my eyes and stare at him.

Suddenly, I flash out of the motel room and see Roger enter his kitchen with a bag of groceries. He notices the window is open and closes. He goes to unbag his groceries when the window opens again. He turns to it, stares at it then closes it and locks it. When he returns to unpacking, the lock moves by itself and the window slides open again. Roger, confused, attempts to close it but it sticks.

He leans out, twisting to look up at the top of the window when the window slides closed, decapitating him. Blood gushes up over the window.

Next thing I knew, I see Dean standing over me as he has a concerned look on his face. "It's happening again." I said then I look over at Sam. "Did you see...?" I started to ask but he nods. "See what?!" Dean asked. "Something's gonna kill Roger Miller." Sam replied, frantically.

Later, Dean was driving as I sat in the backseat, still rubbing my temples, while Sam was talking on his phone, also holding his head. I could still feel the pain that vision gave me, it felt like the worse hangover you could ask for. The hangover from hell as I like to call it.

"Roger Miller. Ah no no, just the address please. Ok, thanks." Sam said into the phone then he hangs up and turns to Dean. "450 West Grove, Apartment 1120." He replied. "You guys ok?" Dean asked us, concerned. "Yeah." Sam and I replied, in unison. "If you guys are gonna hurl, I'll pull the car over you know, cause the upholstery..." Dean said but Sam and I, both, shouted. "I'm fine."

"All right." Dean said, holding a hand up for a moment. "Just drive." Sam said as I look between the boys and sigh, heavily. "Boys, I'm scared. These nightmares weren't bad enough, now Sam and I are seeing things when we're awake? And these, visions, or whatever, they're getting more intense. And painful." I said and Sam nods. "Come on (y/n), you two will be all right. It'll be fine." Dean said, calmly.

"What is it about the Millers? Why are (y/n) and I connected to them, why are we watching them die? Why the hell is this happening to us?" Sam asked, scared and annoyed. "I don't know, Sam, but we'll figure it out. We've faced the unexplainable every day. This is just another thing." Dean said.

"No. It's never been us. It's never been in the family like this. Tell the truth, you can't tell me this doesn't freak you out." Sam said
Dean stares straight ahead for a long moment before he said. "This doesnt freak me out." Sam and I stare at him, then I turn away and look out at the window.

We pull up as Roger approaches the entrance of the building with a bag of groceries. "Hey Roger." Sam shouts out the window and Roger turns then rolls his head at us. "What are you guys, missionaries? Leave me alone." He said. "Please!" I shout through the window but Roger was gone. Dean guns the engine, jumping the curb as he hurriedly parks and Sam and I run out of the car.

"Hey. Roger. We're trying to help!" Dean shouts.

"Please! Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey." Sam shouts.

"We're just trying to help!" I yelled as we run up to entrance. But Roger closes the door behind him. "I don't want your help." He said and he walks away. "We're not priests or a nun, you gotta listen to us!" Sam calls out after him. "Roger, you're in danger!" Dean shouts but he was gone.

"Come on. Come on, come on." Dean said to us and we run around the corner to a back entrance, which was securely locked. Dean quickly looks around then kicks it open.

We jump to the first level of the fire escape then run up the stairs. When we make it to the first floor from Roger's house, we hear the window slide down and a wet squelching noise. Sam and I freeze at this as I felt my stomach drop while Dean sprints past us and grabs the railing.

I follow him and see Roger's head lying in the flower bed under the window, his blood all over the kitchen window. Sam joins us as I placed a hand over my mouth.

After a long pause, Dean pulls out some hankerchief from his pocket and throws a couple to me and Sam and he starts to wipe down the railing. "Start wiping down yout fingerprints, we don't want the cops to know we were here. Come on, come on!" He said and Sam and I quickly wipe down the railings as fast as we could.

Dean uses his rag to push up the window leading out to the fire escape. "I'm gonna take a look inside." He said and he climbs inside while Sam and I continue wiping down the metal railing.

"I'm telling you there was nothing in there. No signs either, just like the Miller's house." Dean said after we were done on the fire escape and head back to the Impala. "I saw something, in the vision. Like a dark shape. Something was....something was stalking Roger." I said to Dean. "Yeah, I saw the same thing." Sam said. "Whatever it was, are you guys sure it's not connected to their house?" Dean asked. "No, it's connected to the family themselves." Sam said.

"So what do you think, like a vengeful spirit?" I asked Dean. "Well yeah, there's a few that have been known to latch onto families, follow them for years." Dean replied. "Angiak. Banshees." I listed and Dean shrugs. "Basically like a curse. So maybe Roger and Jim Miller got involved in something heavy, something curse worthy." He said. "And now the something is out for revenge. And the men in their family are dying." Sam said and I stop in my tracks.

"Hey you think Max is in Danger?" I asked them. "Let's figure it out before he is." Dean said. "Well, I know one thing we have in common with these people." Sam said as we make it to the Impala. "What's that?" Dean asked. "Our families are cursed." Sam replied.

"Our family's not cursed! We just...had our dark spots." Dean huffs. "Our dark spots are...pretty dark." I said as I gesture to all of us. "You're....dark." Dean remarks and I scoff and roll my eyes. "Real mature, Winchester." I said as we climb into the Impala.
