Chapter 41| Unicorns And Flowers

Fork and the dish clattered as I tried to pick up the last macaroni.

Jungkook had made us Mac and cheese for breakfast as he was my proxy for cooking. That was the dish he came up with.

I was concentrating so hard on picking it up that I did not notice that everyone was staring at me.

Jungkook took the fork from my hand and picked it up swiftly.

"Here" he smiled before putting it into my mouth.

I took the fork out of my mouth.

"You know it can be dangerous" I said to Jungkook.

Yoongi scowled at me. I wondered what I had done to make him so angry.

"If you are all done eating, we have something to say" Soyeon spoke up from beside Yoongi.

"Only Kkum was left. She is done now, so you can start" Hoseok said trying to suppress his laugh.

I showed a knife while glaring at him. He stopped smiling right away before looking down.

I smirked victoriously.

"The thing we need to announce is that-" Yoongi started,

"We are going to get married" they said together.

They were smiling widely at us.

"What?" Seokjin said being bewildered.

"You could sound less aggressive" Jimin said laughing.

"Aww honey" Yubi patted Seokjin's back whilst Jimin looked at Mihae with honey dripping eyes.

"I am happy for you" Mihae said to the couple.

"Is it for real?" Taehyung was fully awake too.

"I hate it. I am single" Namjoon said to himself. We all laughed at that.

"No. I love it" I smiled warmly at both of them,

"For you Yoongi, for Soyeon I think you could do better" I frowned.

"I think so too" Yoongi smiled.

I said nothing and sipped my iced choco. They were being too sweet.

"When is it going to be?" Jungkook asked.

"In two weeks, perhaps?" Yoongi told us.

"When did you decide it?" Hoseok asked as well.

"Well, we were thinking about it for a couple of months. I mean we have no reason to wait" Yoongi smiled warmly at Soyeon.

He looked so different with her.

"We became sure last night" Soyeon added.

"So Twilight helped huh?" I wiggled my eyebrows.

Soyeon giggled at that.

"I need to go to work" Jungkook said killing all the fun.

"Jeon, it's weekend" I scoffed.

"I have work today too, muffin."

I scoffed again at his little nickname.

With that being said, Jungkook left. We still kept sitting on the breakfast table to gossip more.

"Actually I thought it's going to be Taehyung whose happy news we would get" Mihae said laughing.

"What do you mean?" Taehyung's voice still did not wake up.

"Oh the new girl you are hitting it off with. What was her name?" She tried to recall.

"Haesun?" Jimin gave a hint.

"No. That has already passed" she tapped on her forehead,

"Yes! Bang Dayeon!" She said excitedly.

"New girl?" I was surprised.

"Oh. I met her at the party which you crashed being all intoxicated that night. Remember?" Taehyung said looking at me.

"Oh yeah. So she is the one who you were hooking up with when you asked me to keep it down?" I questioned.

"Yeah. Kind of" he looked down.

"That's going on for a pretty long time. I thought it was going to be a one night stand for you" Namjoon praised.

I was still at Yoongi's, sitting on a swing. I kept looking at the artificial flowers which was kept beside me.

Mihae came there. I smiled at her.

"Could you take a photo of me?" I handed her my phone.

"Of course" she waved her hand indicating me to face towards the sunlight.

She clicked it and returned me the phone to let me check it.

"#sunkissed" Mihae boasted her photography skills.

"#no_makeup" I criticized my face.

"#still_beautiful" she made me smile again.

Mihae took a seat on a couch which was across me.

"I wanted to say something about what happened at the breakfast table" she started.

"What happened?" I asked.

"Jimin told me how you and Taehyung were a thing back in high school" she cleared.

"Uh oh" I sat straight, "Mihae, that's over, a long time ago. It doesn't matter. Also it was just an infatuation" my voice got lower in the end as I was unsure of my own words.

"Okay. Only if you want to, can I know what happened?" She pressed.

"I don't-" my eyes started getting watery since I started to remember what happened. I did not expect for it to effect me like that still.

"I am so sorry" Mihae hugged me,

"I thought it was no big deal now."

"It's not. It's just- I had gotten badly hurt at that time" I managed to say.

I locked the door behind me as I got out of Yoongi's house. It was almost night time. I needed to clear my head and spend some alone time with myself.

"You have the keys?" Jungkook's voice startled me.

I jumped.

"You are such a heartless person" I hit his arm and he laughed.

"Where are you going by the way? I thought you wanted to have sleepovers with us" he mocked.

"Not anymore. Not if the house owner wants me to" I shrugged.

"Come on, you know how Yoongi is. He loves you from the bottom of his heart."

"I don't think so" I started walking.

"Want me to drop you off?" He asked while walking alongside.

"To where?" I questioned back.

He thought for a while before saying,

"To a long drive?" I laughed at his silliness.

"No. I am just going for a walk in a nearby park and I will come back for my car" I explained to him.

Jungkook took his jacket off and wrapped it around me.

"It will keep you warm" he said.

"And make me scent like you" I mumbled.

"I could not catch it" Jungkook said.

"Me neither" I shook my head denying these unwanted feelings.
