"In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on."  Robert Frost

Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you.  You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.  Jeremiah 29:12-13

Adduce:  "to offer as example, reason, or proof in discussion or analysis"  Merriam-Webster Dictionary

Over the past weekend I heard some people refer to Easter as "Zombie Jesus day."  Zombies have become popular over the past couple years in a way I could have never predicted.  Zombie movies and TV shows are the rage.  There are even zombie apocalypse kits people store in their homes and trucks.  What is this fascination with the undead?  Don't get me wrong.  I'm not judging anyone who's into to zombie entertainment stuff.  It's just that; entertainment.  But what's with "Zombie Jesus day?"  If you believe Jesus was a zombie, does that mean you believe He rose from the dead?  Is it wise or scrupulous to refer to a man who did what Jesus did, then rose from the dead, a Zombie?  I know I wouldn't want to take the risk of calling the only One who has ever claimed to save us from eternal death, then rose from the dead, a zombie.  Whether I believed or not, it seems a little risky.  This weekend we celebrated what Jesus did for us.  On Good Friday we lamented what had to happen at the Cross.  And on Easter Sunday we celebrated what Jesus did to death.  All over the world people exclaimed, "HE IS RISEN!"  Indeed He is.  With the empty tomb Jesus adduced once and for all that He is the Son of God.  That He is able to save.  He is no zombie.  He's the Son of God.  He's our Savior.  The only One who's ever offered a solution to our guilt.  The only One who's ever claimed to be able to forgive.  The only One who's ever claimed to be able to save us from death.  The only One who's ever been able to raise Himself from the grave.  Some may be able to deny, but no one can disprove.  Not only can no one can disprove it, evidence show's that it really happened (Biblically and extra Biblically).  What does that mean to you?  To me, it means that I can rejoice.  That I no longer have to live with perpetual guilt.  That I have a hope for a future beyond death and suffering.  We all can have that hope.  Tired of guilt?  Tired of death?  Tired of hopelessness?  Tired of living with a reality of suffering?  Seek Jesus.  He's no zombie.  Zombies rise from the dead to destroy life.  Jesus rose from the dead to save it.  That's good news!
