Cyouzzzzzz
Wei Shao's Arc:
At the beginning, the strategist of Marquis Yan, Wei Shao, advised him like this:
"The Qiao family has held power in Dongjun for three generations. Though now in decline, their legacy runs deep-like a centipede that refuses to die even after being cut.
My lord, you are a man of unstoppable force, bold as a dragon, fierce as a tiger, and destined to command all. Since the Qiaos now seek reconciliation, why not take their daughter? Use her as you see fit."
But later, Wei Shao realized-
He had well and truly slapped his own face.
And it hurt.
Damn it really hurt.
Xiao Qiao's Arc:
Yeah... men are all made of cheap bones.
Even the emperor's no different.
Setting & Style Note:
A fully fictional backdrop inspired by the chaotic warlord era at the end of the Eastern Han dynasty. Some characters draw loosely from historical prototypes-fragmented, reimagined, or blended. No need for historical scrutiny; ranking or fact-checking is not encouraged.
This Xiao Qiao has no relation to the famous Xiao Qiao from Romance of the Three Kingdoms. The name was chosen simply because it sounds nice.
As for the heroine-she's here to be beautiful, dazzling, nothing more.
Don't look for brilliance elsewhere-you won't find it.
