ANN MARIE'S POV

Later between classes, I got some books out of my locker for my next class and was just about to put some of my perfume on when a boy rushed past me and slightly bumped me, making me drop it and it smashed on the floor. The boy called out sorry but the damage was done.

'Oh no...' I groaned as I at least tried to touch the liquid that was on the floor to put some on but Mr Glenwood the janitor stopped me.

'Uh-uh...broken glass is dangerous!' he smiled. 'I can't retire as senior maintenance manager in a few weeks time with a cut finger to blemish my perfect record on my watch!' he said as he swept up the broken shards of glass bottle and wiped up the spilled perfume as I sighed sadly.

'I'm afraid you'll have to buy a new one missy!' he smiled as he went on his way with his cleaning trolley.

I sighed. Yeah, with what money? I wondered to myself, wondering if I could find some deodorant from somewhere. Oh well, it will have to wait I thought as I hurried to my next class.

Just before my last class of the day, I wasn't looking where I was going and accidentally bumped into someone.

'I-I'm so sorry I-' started to say and then gasped when I saw who it was. Chloe Bourgeois, the meanest girl in the school. She was a grade above me and rich and popular as she was the mayor's daughter.

Chloe's nostrils flared as she looked at me in disgust. 'Ugh! Why do you smell like you've been roaming around in the garbage? Haven't you ever heard of a shower?' she cried. 'You better not transfer your horrible odour onto me you filthy peasant!'
