Chapter 41

Mina's POV
"Wait! Guys!" Jungkook oppa stopped everyone. "We have a two dancers. Why not see a bit of Mamamoo?"

I swear. Mean smiles on their faces, they sat down. "I heard Mina dongsaeng has a cool vocal range." Jimin mentioned. "We could hear that?"

I never sang and danced at the same time. "We'll see if I manage that."

Namjoon looked at me. "You don't have to-"

I stopped him. "I will do if I can."

Thank goodness I was wearing wide legged pants. Eonni settled her phone. "I have the instrumental version. What part do you want? Wheein and Solar or with Hwasa? I can handle Solar, she has pretty high notes."

Thank goodness. Gleam. "Hwasa and Wheein. I'm warning you, I only sing for fun. My voice will suck."

They all laughed. Yoongi sunbaenim nudged his head up. "Just press play."

We did. It wasn't too intense to not be able to sing. I tried to keep my smile to myself with the surprise of knowing the whole dance and the singing. It was so fun! When we were done. I fixed my pants. "These are not made for performing."

Hobi oppa got up and gave me a fist bump. "That was cool. Good job."

Jimin had never introduced himself properly to me, but he came up to us as we picked up our things. "Your voice is so low! It must be nice to play with!"

I bowed down. "I'm better with harmonies than as a stand alone, but if I work on it, it can be better."

He looked at Namjoon then back at me. "If you want, Kookie, Tae and I plan on going to a noraebang tomorrow night. If you want to come, that'd be interesting."

Really? Now, I was the one looking at the tallest in the room. "Coming?"

He denied. "I'll work on the tester tomorrow night with Suga hyung. I made sure my day was free to do activities together instead. You know he wouldn't ask you if he minded."

Jimin sunbaenim agreed. "Jungkook proposed it! It'd be fun to hang out all the youngest together and it's a great occasion to know you better."

That was so sweet! "I'm up for it, sure!"

He seemed glad. "We pick you up at 8pm tomorrow, be ready!"

Namjoon's POV
Just as I had planned the next morning... "Want to walk Mushu on the little mountain across the city? We can walk around there and have a nice view."

Her smile was radiant. "Really? Sure! I'll get him ready." I checked the air quality. "You don't need a mask today."

She laughed. "I always carry one. You just want to see my face."

Of course I did. I smiled. "I'll call a taxi."

I enjoyed coming here. No crowd, the air was fresh. This time, I had the joy of great company. "Am I walking too fast?"

She denied. "I'm fine, thanks for asking. I'm usually the one with the long legs."

"Your mom is the one rushing, huh?"

She chuckled. "Yeah, to walk the same, I have to be in heels."

That'd be fun to watch! "I need to see that one day-"

A voice called out. Mina's hand slid out of mine. "Hi? I'm sorry?" English? I turned around to see a group of girls. "We wanted to ask if you're RM?"

I glanced behind me to see the one I was spending the day with sitting a couple of benches away, her dog laying down, her mask on, scrolling on her phone. I sighed in my head and smiled back at the girls. "Yeah, what can I do for you?"

"Can we get pictures?" I wasn't asked this in a while. I wished they only asked when I was alone. It was obvious I had company.

A compromise. "How about a selfie all together?" They agreed. I took a few just so they would be able to choose a good one. "Have a nice day." They left giggling. I walked back to the one I was with. "Didn't take too long?"

She took her mask off and put it in her purse. "You were quick. Barely waited."

"I wish they understood privacy as much as you did sometimes."

I left a peck on her cheek. She covered it. "We're in public. What are you doing?"

"Don't worry about that for a moment and enjoy the view." She was always ultra aware of our surroundings, so much she'd miss the beautiful things. I motioned in front of us. "We're at the top of Seoul."

She followed my hand and her eyes met the scenery. Her stoic expression turned into a soft smile. "It's gorgeous.."

I wrapped my arm around her. "That's why I come here as much as I can. Imagine all the people down there, crowded and us here no one at a couple of meters away. It's so calm."

She leaned in. "I get it, thanks for freeing you day for me."

Of course I did. That's what you do when you care, no?

Mina's POV
"I can't hit the notes guys! Don't make me do it alone." I argued jokingly. "At least a duet?"

Tae happily joined me. "If we do Singularity together, it'd be cool!"

It might be! We put it and sang. Both in the low range, I was higher when he was low and I was low when he went too high for me. It was indeed an interesting sound. Of course, we were not just there to sing. We were there to talk... And drink. "Suga hyung always asked what Namjoon hyung saw in you, but.. What do YOU see in him?" Jimin wondered after a couple of soju glasses.

That was a weird question after they asked me what I liked about Seoul. "Uhmm.. Let me see, he's humble. He's kind. He's cultivated, intelligent, yet always seeks to learn more. He's fascinated by both the beautiful and the ugly in the world.."

Kookie oppa laughed. "His tall handsome ass didn't come to mind yet? I'm surprised."

I chuckled. "Sure, add that too, but I love his soft and adorable expressions even more or how he pouts when he's focused on his screen."

Tae pat my back. "You and hyung are so alike! He answered the same way. He also said he didn't want us to see you practice too often."

Really? "Why?"

"Mostly hiphop, because you do more styles like Mamamoo do sometimes. Like Illella and Hip... He wants to keep that to himself." Jimin spoke.

"I don't get it."

"Because you're attractive when you dance those!" Was I? Kook took the bottle from me. "Enough of that, you barely get sarcasm, so if you don't get obvious things, I don't know what we'll do with you! Hyung will kill us if we don't bring you back in one piece."

I didn't get that either. Maybe he was right. I was getting too drunk for my own good.
