Dear Diary,

Today we went to Belgium. It was very emotional. We attended a ceremony and laid a wreath before visiting a WWI cemetery.

We were welcomed by the King and Queen of Belgium, who were very welcoming and spoke fluent French so I communicated with them that way instead of English.

Eventually we headed to the ceremony where William gave an emotional speech. Unlike any other speech, this one was very saddening.

When William was giving his speech, I sobbed quietly. The first tear; I wiped it away before I let them come flooding out. Kate took my hand and lent me her handkerchief.

I looked up when my face looked okay and my hand remained in Kate's. When we laid the wreath, I bowed my head and whispered:

"Ask not, what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country. May you rest in peace after thinking of what we can do together for the freedom of man".

Everyone had obviously heard me as it was silent and I heard William and Kate clapping before most people clapped.

I felt proud even though I didn't want to. We visited the cemetery and I looked at all the graves, my face drowned in grief.

Much to my surprise, we flew to London. Turns out we have a final engagement for this month. I'll keep that a secret until tomorrow.

We sat and watched the coverage on BBC News. I was stunned when I saw what they did in London! The city looked beautiful tonight.

I had arranged for my outfit for tomorrow be flown to Kensington. It was very quiet. Silent, in fact. All the staff were at Balmoral waiting for us in two days.

But we survived. Of course William and Kate can cook and I can help around too. William cooked us a dinner of lasagne. We hadn't eaten all day so we dived to the food when William put it on the dining table.

"Dinner!" William called from next door. Kate and I literally jumped over the sofa and dashed to the table! We were so hungry.

Anyway, tonight I was allowed to squeeze in between William and Kate in bed. It was tight but it was a laugh. Goodnight!
