Dear Diary,
Today Kate and I went out to Bergdorf Goodman again and I picked out a dress for the dinner with the Kennedys. I then picked up a Carmen Marc Valvo, black Beaded-Neck Halter Cocktail dress. I packed my court shoes I had worn to the party at the American Embassy so I would wear it with them.
After we left our things behind at the penthouse and we took a stroll in the park. We walked for miles and we passed the Met Museum. "We'll go there tomorrow before going off to dine with one of the richest families in America" Kate joked. I giggled. "Kate..." I started. "Do you think Jack likes me?" I asked. Kate told me the truth.
"I'm sure he does" Kate patted my back. "But how? Do I have a nice smile? Good hair? A great personality?" I asked. "All of the above" Kate smiled. I smiled back. "Do you think I remind him of Jackie?" I asked. "Maybe that is what he likes" Kate told me. "Just remember, there is every chance he might not like you but be prepared in case he does turn around and tell you he does".
I agreed. Jack might not like me but if I'm honest, I think I like him!
