Part 18

Dear Diary, 

I was supposed to go on an engagement with Kate and William to Dundein and Queenstown but because of the shock of the robbery caused by my insane sister, I was allowed to stay back. "Good luck and tell me about the white water rafting" I smiled. "Oh we will!" William smiled. I hugged them goodbye and watched them depart for the airport. 

P.C Beaton had questions to ask me about Anna. I knew this would be very important so I dressed formal. I had planned to wear an Evan dress by Reiss for visiting the cathedral and for the Maori welcome but I put that on for the questioning. 

The interview went a bit like this:

PCB: So your sister Anna. Can you describe her appearance?

DM: Well she matched the description on BBC News last night. But there is a few things that weren't given. She is missing a tooth at the back as it had to be taken out and she had a scar on the top of her head as she got in a fight. 

PCB: That's good. Now. Personality?

DM: She usually has obsessions for things and just now it is me because to her I'm missing. On Wednesdays, she attends kickboxing and she isn't a girly-girl like I am. To her, it's all about attacking and fighting. 

PCB: So she is quite violent?

DM: Yeah a lot. There has been times where I've been late for school as she been giving me lectures and she hit me. I'd be late for school and because of that, I'd be kept back and then she's hit me even more for being late home. 

PCB: Do you think you know why she broke into Clarence House?

DM: Well because I'm around with the royals, I'll be on the news and Anna watched the news every night. And I think, she might break into every royal palace to see if I'm there so she can get to me. 

PCB: Is that why you said all of the royal palaces now need to be protected even more?

DM: Yes and also so the other members of the family can be safe. I mean, can you imagine what Anna would have done if Prince Charles woke up and came into the room she was in to see what was going on? 

PCB: I can think of it. Well thank you. 

DM: Thank you

After the police interviews, I returned to my bedroom and started packing. You see I'd be starting up on engagements tomorrow. I'd be flying out to Christchurch tonight. I'd be travelling in a helicopter. The flight from Governement House to Christchurch would take 45 minutes but it saves time going on the plane. 

I only packed the things I would NEED. After all what's the point of taking ten dresses when I'm only doing 4 engagements. I would be visiting a memorial to those who died in the 2011 earthquake. I packed a red coat by Givenchy, (also worn by Jackie Kennedy in January 1960) and a dress for underneath. Then we'd be watching a 2015 cricket world cup event. I packed a playsuit to quickly change into along with a more casual red coat. 

After the cricket event, we'd be visiting an air force museum and the memorial wall. I packed some more formal clothes for the museum including an olive green military jacket. My bag was ready. I also packed a few things in my carry on bag. I sat in my bedroom waiting for Gordon, the butler to collect me. 

He collected me and I headed out into the helicopter. I got strapped in and we took off. Hopefully the information I gave to P.C Beaton about Anna would be good enough. We landed in Christchurch. I eventually headed to where William and Kate where staying. 

"Dayna!" Kate ran and hugged me. I was buried in their arms for about ten minutes. We didn't unpack. We'd only be staying one night. I showed Kate my outfits and she thought they'd be perfect. 

We then settled into bed.
