Dear Diary,

Tonight was the night of party. I put on my dress annd slipped on my bracelet and shoes. Shannon did my hair. She put it into the side-do that I wore on the Australian tour several times. A Bentley arrived and we set off for the venue. The party was to be held at the U.S Embassy at Grosvenor Square, 8 minutes away from the palace.

Some of the most famous politicians in America were there. People such as Eric Holder, the United States Attorney General and Matthew Barzun, the United States Ambassador to Great Britain were there. I felt really special meeting all of these people. Because of my knowledge of the Kennedys, I had long chats with Eric Holder about them.

I soon sat talking with Kate and then felt someone behind me and it was William. I saw Kate and William give each other a cheeky smile and knew that they were up to something. Kate excused herself and went off to talk with other politicians. "Dayna of Cambridge, this is Yale student John Bouvier Kennedy Schlossberg, but he likes to be called Jack Kennedy" William introduced me to John Bouvier Kennedy Schlossberg.

I had studied the Kennedy family and Jack was JFK's grandson! I was actually meeting a real Kennedy!

"Hi" Jack smiled. We shook hands. I was really nervous. I then sat down on the chair I was sitting on and sat up straight. "Dayna accompanied my wife and I on our tour of Oceania. She also dreams of working for the Paris office of Vogue or the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum in Boston" William told Jack a bit about me.

"And Jack..." William started. "Needs no introduction" I said. Jack smiled. "Well I've seen you with royals" Jack said. "I've seen you with politicians" I replied. At this moment William walked away and left us alone. "Oh so you've seen me travel with my mother Caroline to Japan?" Jack asked. I nodded.

"That was the dullest thing I've done" Jack added. I smiled. "Well I guess you're entitled to your opinion of the country, your mother is Ambassador to" I joked. Jack laughed and took another sip of his drink. "So what do you do, when you're not being embraced by the public?" Jack asked me. "I study" I just told the truth.

"What do you study?" Jack asked me. "History. English. Art. I can speak French. I am learning Spanish" I told him. "You're like my grandmother Jackie" Jack smiled. "I have a strong fondness for Jackie Kennedy. I wear replicas of her clothes all of the time and she is my icon for personality and fashion" I smiled.

Jack seemed amazed. "I've never heard praise like that". I was happy. "And what do you do, when you're not out and about with your mother?" I asked. Jack sat on the chair opposite me. "Well I study at Yale and I usually hang around New York" Jack told me. I then remembered I was going to New York with the royals for my birthday.

"I am going to America for my 13th birthday. I'm departing in 2 days" I smiled. "Where are you going in America?" Jack asked. "New York and then to Washington" I smiled. Jack seemed happy. "I might see you in New York" he added. I nodded. We then separated. Eventually Kate came over with William.

"Congratulations. You're his girlfriend" Kate smiled. I shook my head with an expression to say 'Of course not!'. "Trust me, we could see it from over there" William added. "He's not interested" I convinced them. Jack is a nice guy but he wouldn't fall for someone like me.

After the party, we got home and we got settled into bed. I still wondered if I would see Jack in New York.
