Dear Diary,

Tomorrow is Trooping the Colour. Kate and I finalized our outfits. I sat out my yellow dress that Kate got me and I put out my shoes. I have picked some yellow petal shoes from L.K Bennett and Kate thought I looked great. And I have some news!

As you know, some members of the royal family are allowed to ride on horseback in the parade. Well I was asked as Lilibet thought I did well riding in Australia as she remembered seeing me on the news. I politely turned it down as I said: "Well, maybe when I learn how to ride properly and I have the right attire, I will go in the parade but not now".

Princess Anne and Zara Phillips said they'd offer to teach me to ride, so when we all go to Sandringham, they said they'd teach me when I'm there. Turns out, we have decorators to furnish our new home of Amner Hall with everything we've bought and we will put everything else into place when we go up later in the year.

But tonight I was buzzing with excitement about Trooping the Colour tomorrow. I phoned Jack to tell him and he said he'd watch it on BBC News and he'd watch out for my radiant smile and wave. He is proud of me, he says.

This evening, I couldn't sleep at all. None of us have been sleeping right these past few days. You see, we open the windows at night but it is still stifling hot. But I finally got to sleep and I was fine.
