Do you ever wonder
About what could've happened,
Instead of what is happening?

She is lying down on the grass peacefully. Her eyes are closed and her arms are folded underneath her head.
She's not sleeping, But she isn't awake.
She's in an in between state.
Neither asleep, nor awake.
She's thinking about the possibilities about the what if's.
What if...he had never come back?
What if...he had actually succeeded in killing Naruto?
What if...he hated Sarada?
What if Orochimaru hadn't given Sasuke the curse mark?
What if the massacre never occurred?
What if I never trained under Tsunade?
A million possibilities of what could've happened if even the smallest thing had changed.
One simple thing could change her whole life.
One simple thing could change her husband's whole life.
Her friends life.
Her family's life.
One simple thing can change everyone's life.
A few strands of grass float down and land on the girls face.
"What're you thinking about?" her husband asks.
She smiles. "Nothing much."
He raises an eyebrow, but doesn't question anything.
And in that moment she realizes that she wouldn't want to change anything. That without the things that had happened in the past, no one would be who they are today.
