With the six boys' chances for a seventh gym badge approaching, The trainers and their Pokémon realize they're one step closer to the Johto League. But for now, They're focused on a different type of goal.
The group was looking out to the sunrise before the scene transitions to the group looking at a giant football goalpost.
Brock: It's a football field with goals and everything!
Zoroark: But this ain't no place to toss around the old pigskin!
Haru: You're right.
Yuki: So what's it doing out here?
Lucario: I'm not sure.
Three figures dressed in football gear are soon seen, And their chuckles indicate that it's none other than Team Rocket.
Ash: Are you football players?
Motto Skip
Elijah: What do you three want?
Rara: Yeah, We don't have time for your schemes old lady.
Jessie: I'm not an old lady!
Tsubasa: Hey, If some of us sit this one out...
Chihiro: There'd be enough of us for a scrimmage.
Jessie: That's exactly right. Now go long and catch this ball!
Meowth: Bombs away!
Meowth presses a button on the football, proving it's not a football at all, But an explosive.
Everyone: What?!
Rizumu: That's no football!
Nozomi: It's a bomb!
Meowth: Okay, Jimmy, make us proud!
Meowth hikes the ball to Jessie, Who sets it up for a place kick from James.
James: Three points!
The ball heads over the goal post.
Ethan: If that thing hits...!
Kris: Let's make sure we don't let that happen!
Ash: Right back at ya!
Ash kicks the ball right back to Team Rocket.
Jessie: No fair, You're offside!
James: Cheaters!
James kicks the ball back, Causing the timer to tick down again.
Silver: This just went from a game of football to a game of hot potato!
Brock: I've got it!
Brock kicks the ball back again.
Meowth: Hey, That wasn't our game plan! You're supposed to run with da ball!
James: They'll get a kick out of this!
James prepares to kick the ball back.
Ritchie: If they kick the ball back to us...

Casey: You're forgetting, We've got the electrical blitz!

Pikachu leaps and used Thunderbolt shocking Team Rocket, Allowing the ball bomb to land and the timer to run out.

The bomb goes off and Team Rocket goes up and blasted off.

Ritchie: I did too, That poison type gym leader was tough, But Sparky and handled him.
Aya: You must be referring to my older brother.
Everyone else looks at Aya at that in surprise.
Gary and Ritchie: Brother?!
Aya: Yes. I am indeed Koga's younger sister, And I am a ninja as well. I'm still an amateur, But I'm working my hardest to become the best like my brother.
Casey: That's so cool!
Sakura: I guess all of us have pretty interesting lives.
Hako: Yeah.
Duplica: You're right.
Susie: Pretty interesting how we met up like this.
Rinne: Yes...
Rinne then thinks to herself for a moment as she soon gets up.
Rinne: Um, Can you all please help me with something.
Everyone else looked at Rinne in confusion.
Rinne: I'm going to Ogi Island, And I would like for you all to come with me.
Everyone else was somewhat surprised by that.
(Flashback Over)
Later
The group was now having lunch together after the stunt Team Rocket pulled.
Duplica: Honestly, Team Rocket are getting more and more annoying everyday.
Susie: They'll never give up on catching Pikachu.
Aya: Yes, He's the only thing that's keeping them going.
Ash: Like we'll even let them get you Pikachu.
Pikachu cries out in agreement.
Misty: You know, It has been a while since Team Rocket has been following us now right.
Brock: I'm surprised their "boss" don't even scold them for their failures.
Silver: That's because it doesn't know about the failures, Being that he doesn't know them at all anymore.
Everyone looks at Silver at that.
Ethan: Don't know them?
Kris: What do you mean?
Silver: This really has been worth mentioning for a while, But I guess I could tell you. Those three have been kicked out from Team Rocket for a long time.
Everyone else got startled by that except for Haru, Yuki, And Gary who remember this.
Ash: Kicked out?
Misty: But they said-
Silver: They just don't know that they've been removed completely. Their movement from Team Rocket didn't have to do with their failures frankly because of not paying for their dues.
Brock: Dues?
Silver: Their membership has expired is more like it. Even an evil organization like Team Rocket has finances. So all this time they've been a forgettable trio doing what they want for attention. Even if they found out the truth something tells me it won't stop them from following us.
Yuki: Those three really need a change.
Haru: Yeah, Take up a hobby or something.
Ethan: Well, Why don't we just forget about those three for a bit.
Kris: Yeah, The next town from here is Crystal Town!
Others: Crystal Town?
Haru then looks at his PokéGear's map.
Haru: Yeah, That's right.
Yuki: Have you been there before?
Ethan and Kris: It's our hometown!
Everyone else got startled by that, Especially Silver who was silent Weavile looks at him.
Silver: Is Crystal Town on the way to Mahogany Town?
Everyone looked at Silver at that as Haru looks at the map.
Haru: Why yes, It is.
Yuki: We could go that way.
Silver soon got up from his rock seat.
Silver: Let's do it! I mean... Let's go to Crystal Town!
Brock: Okay okay, Take it easy Silver.
Misty: You seemed pretty excited about this.
Silver got startled as he soon looks down blushing a little.
Silver: W-Well... I mean... Don't you want to see the place where Ethan and Kris grew up...?
Ethan and Kris stare at Silver in silence before smiling and getting up.
Ethan: Actually, That's not a bad idea. The route to Crystal Town is the only way to Mahogany Town being the quickest.
Kris: There's another route, about it's a pretty long way around a mountain. I think it's a good idea. Maybe a quick visit home would be nice.
Ethan nods in agreement as everyone else got up.
Ash: Okay, It's decided then. We'll stop and rest at Crystal Town before heading back out to Mahogany tomorrow? Agreed?
Others: Agreed!
Later
The group was now up a hill as Ethan and Kris smiled seeing a town down below which was Crystal Town.
Ethan: Ahh, Home sweet home.
Kris: A nice quick visit will be nice.
Silver: So this is where you two grew up...
Ash: Quite a big town.
Misty: It's got a country vibe to it.
Brock: Well, What are we waiting for?
Haru: Yeah.
Yuki: Let's go.

The group walks around Crystal Town as the other twenty one Trainers and their Pokémon look around the nice peaceful town in awe.
Lucario: Sure is peaceful and normal here.
Zoroark: Yeah, It must be pretty exciting seeing new places outside this town.
Ethan: Oh you have no idea.
Silver: It really is a nice place.
Kris: Just wait till you check out our place.
Silver was a bit surprised by that as he smiles a little.

The group soon make it to a Pokémon ranch and amazed with all the Pokémon living here.
Rizumu: A Pokémon ranch?
Nozomi: Mightily amazing!
Chihiro: Your town has a Pokémon ranch?
Tsubasa: Wow, That's amazing.
Silver: You didn't tell us about this.
Ethan: Yeah, I know.
Kris: Stuff like this slips Ethan's mind.
???: Ethan!
???: Kris!
The group soon turns to see running down a hill from the Pokémon ranch was a boy and girl around Ethan and Kris's age.
Kris: Lyra!
Ethan: Khoury!
Ethan and Kris rushed over to the two as Kris and Lyra put their palms together while Ethan hugged Khoury much to Silver's startle by this.
Lyra: I can't believe you're back home! It's been so long!
Kris: We've missed you both!
Khoury: Is this just a quick visit or...
Ethan: Yeah, We're on our way to Mahogany Town, So we decided to take the shortcut here.
Kris: But, Time for introductions.
The four soon turn to the others.
Ethan: Meet our new traveling companions.
Ash: Hi, I'm Ash Ketchum.
Pikachu cries out saying hello.
Misty: I'm Misty.
Togepi cries out saying hello.
Brock: I'm Brock.

Lucario hits Zoroark on the head causing him to be to the ground while holding the bump on his head as everyone else sweat drops.
Lucario: Who's dangerous?!
Lyra: Wow, What a Lucario! So strong!
Khoury: And such a cheerful Zoroark...
Ethan soon pulls in Silver who blushes when Ethan has his arm around him.
Ethan: And this is Silver, Our good buddy.
Silver: H-Hello...
Lyra: Oh hi! I'm Lyra, Kris' cousin.
Khoury: And I'm Khoury, I'm Ethan's cousin.
Silver: (Cousin...! That's good...)
Lyra then looked at Silver in confusion seeing him blushing while looking at Ethan grinning at him as Lyra soon shows a mischievous smile.

The group was now inside the ranch stable where they see a man who Khoury's features brushing a Miltank. The man soon finishes as he looks towards the group coming towards him.
Man: Is that you Ethan and Kris?
Ethan: Mr. Charles.
Ash: Who?
Kris: Khoury's father.
Later
Everyone was now having some fresh moo moo milk courtesy of Khoury's father as they enjoyed it greatly.
Ethan: Good to see you again.
Charles: Same here. You two look well.
Kris: Thanks. We're on our way to Mahogany Town, So we stopped by for a visit.
Charles: I see. And it's a pleasure to meet all of you, I'm happy for you taking such good care of Ethan and Kris.
Haru: It was nothing.
Yuki: Yeah, Don't mention it.
Charles: Have you gone over to meet your parents yet Ethan and Kris?
Ethan: Not yet, But we will next.
Kris: Yeah, Just thought we'd see Lyra and Khoury first.
Lyra: Can I come along? I want to know all about your adventures!
Khoury: I-I'd like to hear about them too... And tag along if that's okay dad.
Charles: Of course. And you all.
Ash: That's fine. Right?
Everyone else nods in agreement.
Later
The group was now heading to Ethan and Kris' house.
Misty: So you two haven't gone on a Journey yet?
Lyra: Not really, I'm not as confident with traveling as Ethan and Kris.
Khoury: I'm kinda the same way. I like to study up on the Pokémon my dad owns. Challenging gyms and participating in contests aren't my thing. I'd much rather become a Pokémon Breeder.
Brock: Really? You too?
Khoury got confused by that.
Duplica: Both Susie and Brock are Pokémon Breeders.
Khoury: Wow, Really?
Susie: Yes, We have a lot to talk about.
Aya: You'd learn a lot from them.
Lyra: And I know who you 18 are! You're Lienus, Those incredible Idols!
Rara: That's right.
Elijah: So you've heard of us?
Lyra: Uh huh, I love your performances! I've watched all of them!
Rizumu: Thank you.
Nozomi: We mightily appreciate it!

Silver blushed and looked at Lyra at that.

Lyra: You know what I mean. What do you think of him as a boyfriend?
Silver got startled as he blushed furiously at that.
Silver: As a boyfriend?! Y-You got it all wrong! I'm... Just Ethan's friend...
Everyone else turned to the two in confusion.
Ethan: Is something wrong?
Silver flinched before waving his hands nervously at Ethan.
Silver: N-N-N-N-No! Everything's good!
Lyra: I'll spout at you with some juicy info. Kris treats Ethan more like a brother and Khoury really sees her as a friend and friend only. As for me, Ethan's cute but... I think you would be a much better housewife for him than I could.
Silver: H-Hah?! I'm a boy you know!
Lyra: I know, But the long hair and slenderness just gives me the vibe that you'd be more of the girl in the relationship. Kinda like Haru for Yuki and Ritchie for Gary and even Lucario for Zoroark.
Silver: What's your deal...?!
Lyra: I'm saying that I'm behind you all the way. There's no crime between two men getting married.
Silver gulps as Weavile just stares at him.
Lyra: Ok! Leave it to me Silver and Ethan, Cause its cupid playing time for this girl!
Silver: Gyah! Do not do that! You absolutely cannot do that!
Lyra was humming while skipping catching up to the others as Silver rushed after her.
Silver: Lyra stop!

The group soon reached Ethan and Kris' houses which were right next to each other as Ethan and Kris met up with their parents.
Ethan: Hey Mom, Dad!
Kris: We're back!
Ethan's mother: Welcome home!
Ethan's father: You're looking great Ethan.
Ethan: Thanks, And check it out.
Ethan then shows his parents his gym badges.
Ethan: I got six gym badges already.
Kris then shows her parents her contest ribbons.
Kris: And I got all five ribbons so I can be in the Grand Festival.
Kris' father: What about accomplishment you two!
Kris' mother: We're so proud of you two.
Ethan: Meet our new friends.
Kris: We're all traveling together.
21 Trainers: It's nice to meet you.
Ethan's father: Likewise.
Ethan's mother: It's a pleasure to meet you all.
Kris' mother: Thank you for taking care of our children.
Haru: No problem at all.
Yuki: Glad we could be there.
Kris' father: Ok! This calls for a barbeque!
Everyone smiles at that.
Later
Everyone was now at Ethan's house's backyard as the two fathers were barbequing.
Ethan: We're only gonna stay the night before heading back on the road to Mahogany Town.
Kris: But we figured this is the shortest route there and we also wanted to stop by for a visit.
Lyra: Hey Ethan, Kris! Can I see all your new Pokémon?
Khoury: I-I would too if that's alright?
Ethan: Oh yeah, Sure.
Kris: That'd make things a lot more exciting.
Ash: Us too!
The other Trainers nodded in agreement. As everyone brings out their Pokémon.
Ash brings out Cyndaquil, Totodile, Bayleef, Noctowl, And Phanpy.
Misty brings out Psyduck, Goldeen, Staryu, Poliwhirl, Corsola.
Brock brings out Onix, Geodude, Pineco, Crobat.
Haru brings out Kingdra, Pikachu, Sunflora, Lanturn, Natu.
Yuki brings out Steelix, Girafarig, Piloswine, Octillery, Cleffa.
Ethan brings out Typhlosion, Flame, Bolt, Pidgeot, Dragonite, And Exeggutor.
Kris brings out Feraligatr, Jigglypuff, Raticate, Tangrowth, Aqua, And Porygon2.
Silver brings out Feraligatr, Skarmory, Sandslash, Nidoking, And Alakazam.
While the rest of Lienus just brings out their partner Pokémon. Causing Lyra and Khoury to smile at all the Pokémon.
Lyra: There are so many of them! Incredible!
Khoury: Yeah, It's like you have all the Pokémon types and more.
Lyra and Khoury looked at each other and nodded.
Lyra and Khoury: Come out!
Lyra and Khoury throw PokéBalls as Lyra brings out a Chikorita while Khoury brings out a Totodile.
Yuki: Wow, A Chikorita and Totodile.
Lyra: Yeah, Aren't they cute?
Khoury: Dad gave us them not long after Ethan and Kris went on their Journey.
Haru: That's nice.
Ash: Everyone, Let's enjoy ourselves here at Ethan and Kris' place, But behave yourselves.
All the Pokémon cry out in agreement.
Later
Ethan and Kris' parents went inside as the Trainers began to eat lunch together and enjoyed the party greatly. Silver was eating by himself near his Pokémon as Lyra shows up.
Lyra: Hiya.
Silver looks up at Lyra in startle.
Silver: Lyra...
Lyra: Relax, I'm not here about the you know what. Me and Khoury just wanna get to know you.
Khoury shows up as Silver gets confused but nods as Lyra and Khoury sit next to him.
Khoury: You seem pretty close with Ethan and Kris.
Silver: Hm? Well yeah... We've had some adventures... In fact if it weren't for them, You would have probably known me differently.
Lyra: Really? Why is that?
Silver: It's... Kinda a long story but... I did a lot of horrible things in the past... Stuff that you wouldn't even believe... When I finally gave up on that bad stuff, I was lost... But Ethan and Kris didn't give up on me... They're the only reason I've continued moving forward and I soon found my own dream, A dream that I truly want to pursue.
Khoury: A dream?
Silver: I started out liking Pokémon a lot... But, Then I met Professor Elm and decided to want to learn more by being his apprentice.
Lyra: An apprentice?
Silver: Yes... But... So much more has happened since I made that decision. So many more Pokémon, So many more Trainers, So many more places I learned about. Now, I'm certain of what my true dream is...
Lyra and Khoury just keep staring at Silver who soon sighs and looks up smiling a little.
Silver: My dream... Is to become a Pokémon Professor.
Lyra and Khoury were somewhat amazed by that.
Silver: I guess I'd figure starting off by learning from a professor myself, Then maybe take some classes when I'm older. I wanna lift up so many people just as much as those who did for me.
Khoury: That's some dream...
Lyra: So cool! I'll support you all the way.
???: And us too.
The three soon looked at Ethan and Kris coming towards them.
Silver: Ethan, Kris.
Ethan and Kris each take Silver's hands.
Ethan: We're gonna make our dreams reality too.
Kris: Let's keep going down that road, Together.
Silver soon smiles at that and nods as Lyra and Khoury smile at this. As the five don't notice Lienus watching this as they smile at each other.
James: Excuse me kids.
Everyone else got confused as they soon turned to a tree nearby.
Khoury: What was that?
The group sees Team Rocket in disguise.
Jessie: We've been waiting for you.
Lyra: You have, but who are you?
Jessie: Prepare for trouble.
James: And make it double.
Jessie then removes her disguise
Jessie: That's enough! Jessie!
James: And me! James, James, James!
Meowth: I'm Meowth, That's right!
23 Trainers: Not again!
Rara: Old lady.
Jessie: I am not an old lady!
Ethan: Didn't we send you packing the first time?
Lyra: Who are they?
Kris: Team Rocket, They're always following us trying to steal our Pokémon.
Khoury: They steal Pokémon?! That awful!
Silver: They're just a forgotten trio, Not the actual Team Rocket.
Team Rocket slumped down a little at that.
Silver: Seeing you three once a day is more than enough.
Jessie: When it comes to stealing Pokémon, It's never enough!
Ash: Stealing who's Pokémon?
James: Let's see. Yours, Of course.
Jessie: That's right. We're going back to join Team Rocket.
Meowth: And you're going back to being without that Pikachu!
23: Let us guess, Your memberships expired because of not paying your dues.
Team Rocket sweat drop at that.
Team Rocket: Okay, We expired!
James: We must fight this fight of all fights to regain our membership, our dignity and our costumes!
Misty: You know, if it's that much trouble, Then just don't rejoin.
The three realize Misty may have a point.
Jessie: And herein lies the rub. Team Jet's membership is filled up and Team Helicopter's nothing but a bunch of snobs, So what is an evil genius to do?
James: Besides, They've got stock options!
Team Rocket soon take off their disguises.
Jessie: So, let's go!
Jessie throws a PokéBall and brings out a Delibird.
Lyra: Oh wow!
Khoury: It's a Delibird.
Ash: Delibird.
Ash then gets out his PokéDex.
Ash's PokéDex: Delibird, the Delivery Pokemon. Delibird's most unique attack is giving presents.
Misty: That doesn't sound right. How can giving away presents be any sort of an attack?
Delibird proceeds to give Ash, Brock, And Misty each a glowing orb.
Ash: Wow, A present for me?
Brock: Hey, Thank you.
Misty: Thanks.
Delibird then walks away much to Jessie's anger.
Jessie: No, You can't just walk around giving presents away to the enemy, You bird brain!
Khoury: No wait! Throw those away!
Lyra: It's a trick, It's a trick!
The three Trainers got confused as suddenly, Upon Delibird's command, The orbs explode causing the three trainers to scream much to the others surprise as the three were dirty.
Lyra and Khoury: I was afraid that would happen...
Team Rocket: Ah! Nice touch.
Ash; Thanks, For the gift...
Ash then brings his PokéDex out again.
Ash's PokéDex: However, some of these presents have been known to explode.
Yuki: Delibird's presents can explode?
Ash: Oh, great. So now you tell me, Dexter...
Haru: By explode, Dexter means that Present can inflict damage.
Ash then shakes off the soot.
Ash Okay, Now I'm angry. Phanpy, I choose you!
Ash then brings out Phanpy.
Ash: Phanpy, Take Down!
Phanpy charges, But Delibird leaps into the sky.
Jessie: Delibird can move just as well as Phanpy!
Jamse: Blizzard attack!
Delibird uses Blizzard and freezes Phanpy solid.
Brock: Oh no! Phanpy's not too cool with ice type attacks!

Ash returns Phanpy and Delibird sends more glowing orbs at the group, Prompting them to run off as they hop over to the fence and head into the park with Delibird chasing them. Then Pikachu accidentally catches one which explodes and causes damage to hi..

The group find some cover behind some mushes while Delibird continues to throw more orbs around.
Ash: Are you okay, Pikachu?
Silver: Taking one of those orbs is like being in the blast radius of a grenade!
Jessie: Well, Look, James! Things just aren't as bad as they seem!
James: See? We're still Team Rocket!
Ash: All those weird attacks they have, This'll be tougher than I thought.
Then suddenly, Delibrd comes up behind Pikachu and gives him another orb, Causing him to panic and gain everyone's attention.
Ash: What is it, Pikachu?
Delibird flies away as the orb explodes. Suddenly, Pikachu starts glowing while sparking up.
Brock: Look!
Misty: What's happening, Ash?
Ash then gets out his PokéDex.
Ash's PokéDex: Sometimes, Delibird's presents can actually restore energy to its opponents.
Pikachu stops glowing and cheekily smiles and sparks.
Ash: Pikachu!
Pikachu comes out of cover.
Jessie: I guess you just don't know when to quit, Do you?
James then realizes something's wrong.
James: I wouldn't be too sure, Jess.
With a spark coming from his cheeks, Pikachu gives Team Rocket a mean look that makes them panic.
Meowth: I think it's mad!
Pikachu then charges up as Ash comes out of hiding pointing to Team Rocket.
Ash: Pikachu, Thunder attack!
