"We did it!" James screamed bolting into the common room elated having accomplished something Sirius, Remus and Peter rushing in behind him with matching grins on each of their faces.
"Did what?" said Lily with furrowed eyebrows
"We conjured a Patronus!" said Peter excitedly
"What? Thats like super advanced magic, not even some seventh years can do that!" exclaimed the red head in shock
"Well my boys are smart" winked Eloise kissing each of them on the cheek spare Sirius who got a peck on the lips. "I'm proud of you" she smiled "Fancy teaching me?"
"I want to learn to!" exclaimed Lily
"Alright." shrugged the boys "We'll teach you"
"Can we start tonight?" grinned Lily in excitement
The boys looked at each other wearily and Eloise quickly caught on. Tonight was a full moon.
"Not tonight!" said Eloise quickly
"Why not?" frowned the girl
"Because I need your help planning something" hinted the girl
"You do?" Lily said in confusion
"Yeah I do"
"Planning what?" said Peter in confusion
"Thats a surprise" winked the Potter girl dragging Lily upstairs into their dormitory.
"Meet us in the room of requirement on Thursday, we'll teach you then!" Called out Remus
"Alright!" Echoed the girls
Eloise pulled lily into their shared dormitory sitting the girl on the bed.
"What do you need help planning?" said the girl in confusion
"Sirius' birthday, it's in two days and I don't know what to do for him" she sighed frustratedly
"Well you could always.." lily wiggled her eyebrows "Humpa Humpa"
Eloise didn't respond but simply grabbed the nearest pillow and threw it at her best friends head.
"Oi!"
"You deserved it" shrugged Eloise "But seriously, I don't know what to do" she sighed
"Sneak out to hogsmeade with him, give him your gift, come back to the castle; I'll talk to the other boys about them staying somewhere else for the night, and you can give him your other gift." giggled the girl
"Lily Evans I love you"
"I love you too" smiled the girl bringing in her best friend for a hug

Eloise sat in her seat next to lily in potions class both of them full of excitement as their legs moved up and down in anticipation to proceed with the lesson. Sirius and James sat a few rows back from them and both boys were completely confused as to what all the excitement amongst the students was about.
"El." whispered James trying to get his sisters attention
"El" he tried again.
"Eloise!" he said louder this time making her turn around to face him.
"What are you so excited about?"
"Didn't you listen last time? We're brewing-" but her voice was cut off as Slughorn entered the room
"Morning!" grinned the jolly fat man "Today we will be brewing, and smelling armortenita! Can anyone tell me what armortentia is?"
To no ones surprise Lily's hand shot up first.
"Yes Miss Evans!"
"Armortentia sir, is the most powerful love potion in the world, however it does not create real love rather a deep obsession or infatuation." recited the girl
"Splendid, ten points to Gryffindor!" grinned the man "And how can you identify the potion?"
"By it's mother of pearl sheen professor"
"Right again Miss Evans another five points to Gryffindor! For another five points who can tell me the key ingredient in the potion?"
This time James rose his hand shocking both Eloise and Lily.
"Ahh Mr Potter"
"Ashwinder Eggs"
"Magnificent! Ten points to Gryffindor!" laughed the man "Now get out your books, and begin brewing!"
"I don't understand, you were excited about brewing a love potion?" said Sirius
"Not just any love potion, armortentia, it smells different to every person depending on what or who they love the most, I wonder what mine will smell like" she sighed dreamily
"We'll I should hope that it smells like me" grumbled Sirius grabbing the ingredients from the cupboard
"Of course it will I just wonder what smells it is that I associate with you" she laughed kissing him quickly when she went to pull away he grabbed her waist deepening the kiss.
"Ahh young love, such a beautiful thing!" sounded slug horns voice making the couple pull apart.
"Sorry professor" said Eloise sheepishly
"Oh it's quite alright you two!" he beamed "Now back to your stations!"
Eloise and Sirius moved back to their stations matching grins stealing glances at each other every so often.
Eloise and Lily were close to finishing their potion with only a few more ingredients to go. After a few more stirs the girls were the first to finish followed by James and Sirius.
"We've finished professor" said Lily
"Us too" echoed James
"Fantastic! Would each of you care to tell us what you smell?" smiled the man making the rest of the class turn to face the four students. "Miss Potter why don't you go first'
"Okay" said the girl taking in a whiff of the potion a dazed look falling onto her face "I smell bonfires, spearmint and.." Eloise leant over the cauldron to get a better smell scrunching her nose up in disgust "Wet dog!" this made the boys burst out into a fit of laughter much to the confusion of the rest of the class and Slughorn "What can I say professor I just really love puppies" grinned the girl sarcastically.
"Superb! Now you miss Evans" Slughorn said
"Oh right..well I smell, apple crumble..um..wet mud and.." Slughorn gestured for the girl to go on "Tea tree shampoo."
This made Eloises eyes widen and shoot up as she looked between her best friend and James who seemed ecstatic with the revelation. "James uses tea tree shampoo!" called out Peter
"Thank you for that Mr Pettigrew" laughed the professor sending the boy a pointed look "Mr Black? Mr Potter? what do you smell?"
"Easy" shrugged Sirius "I smell Eloise's perfume and vanilla shampoo, oh also Mrs Potters blackberry pie, fantastic cook that woman is I tell you!" a chorus of awhs sounded out across the classroom sparing a few Slytherins who just rolled their eyes.
"I smell: strawberry shampoo, tulips and honey" said James glancing at Lily who was struggling to suppress a blush. Slughorn smiled knowingly between the two and Eloise Lily a look that said 'we will talk about this later'
"Jolly good! Class dismissed" said the man and the students grabbed their bags leaving the classroom as quick as possible.
"Wet dog?" grinned Sirius teasingly walking beside his girlfriend as they left the classroom.
