I'm the ghost in the corner
I hear the cries
I watch the horrors
I hear the lies
Wishing I could help you
But I have problems of my own
I'll listen to your problems though
While I avoid my own at home
I sit in the corners
Hearing the tortured screams
I block them out in reality
But I hear them in my dreams
The cries of pain
People begging for mercy
Asking to be taken away from their painful experiences
I hear it all
The ghost in the corner is me
Always here to listen to your stories
Willing to be the shoulder for you to cry on
The person who cries with you
I just hope you're willing to return the favor
Because I'm broken too
