Knock knock is anyone home
Nah, just me, and I’m all alone
You ask me what’s up, how am I feeling, how was my day
But all of my answers are stuck in my brain, locked away
After a while you realize what’s going on,
You get up and give me a hug
But I just look up and swat you away like a bug
I don’t want your hug
I don’t want your love
I just want silence, to be alone, lost in my own world
After a while you leave, getting up, fulfilling my silent request for you to go away
My body and mind scream for you to stay
But I say nothing, for silence is better alone than with a friend
And all I want is for that silence to never end
So I make it never end
And during those last moments before I slip away
I feel glad that I never told you to stay
Knock knock anyone home
Go away I just want to be alone
Saying my goodbyes, crying silent tears
And finally I get my wish after all these years
My never ending silence
