Been a while. :-) This chapter is so damn long. Easily the longest one in the book. I would have broken it up, but it would have completely messed with the flow. Sorry.

Gore and spice warning, so read with caution. Looking forward to your comments. Love you. -Rae

"You're sure you want to tag along tonight?" Simon asked.

He and Daija were in his spacious office, him leaning against his desk and her standing right across from him. She had followed him there when he was done sparring with Austin, and soon, he would be going to a couple last minute meetings before prep for tonight's mission.

"I'm sure," she answered, "Better to get more experience, am I right?"

"Friendly reminder that you had more than enough "experience" today, and it's alright if you want to just stay back and relax. I'm pretty sure Sierra already had a talk with you about some self-care."

"Another friendly reminder that you shouldn't have to worry. I got this."

"I always do when it's someone's first time doing something dangerous."

"Are you sure Tony's the mom of the group?" she joked, "You could also fit that role if you weren't so damn reckless. So, what do Luca's missions typically look like?"

"Sneaking up and kidnapping targets," he said as he crossed his arms, "Since this guy has a small team with him at all times, it's going to get ugly. I'll ask again: Are-"

She answered before he could finish his question, "I'm sure."

Slowly, he smiled, and there was a proud gleam in his eyes, "You're coming out of your bubble more," he reached out towards her and pulled her closer to him by her hand, his own hands going to her waist, "It's amazing."

"You seem thrilled," she teased as she mirrored his smile.

"Of course. I've wanted this for weeks," his leaned in and placed a kiss on her cheek, his voice lowering as his lips neared her ear, "Wanted you for weeks. I almost can't believe it."

"Believe what?" She tried to keep a grip on herself. Her mind ran wild, as and much as she wanted him to fuck her right here on his desk, she had to remember that he had somewhere to be soon.

"You're here," he said to her in between dotting kisses on her neck, "Away from those shitty heroes, wearing my colors, and you're starting to hold back a little less." He lightly sucked on the skin on her neck, and her breathing changed. It was impossible to focus whenever this happened.

"When I told you that I wanted to see every part of you, I meant it," he told her, "Everything that you hide, and everything that you hate. You have no idea how excited I was in the lower unit when I got to see you in action."

When he pulled back from her, she saw the fiery mix of emotions in his eyes. His hand reached up to gently caress her face, and she stared at him, taking in every detail of his flawless face.

"I don't think I've ever wanted anything the way I want you," he said, and she felt like the air was sucked from her lungs, "It's driving me fucking insane."

Before she could say what she was thinking, he kissed her, almost as intensely as he did when they were on his couch this morning. Her hands gripped his jacket, and she deepened the kiss, wanting to get lost in the feel of him for a little while longer.

He wants me and I want him, that wild and selfish part of her mind whispered, Why the hell do I have to let this go?

"Simon," she breathed out his name when his lips returned to her neck. She was thankful that he went for the side she didn't touch up with makeup before they left the house. When he sucked at her skin again, she didn't stop the small moan that fell from her lips.
